Mam and dad were into country and western. Hated it as a youngun. Picking up an acoustic guitar whilst learning to play made me appreciate it. Glen Campbell was an awesome player. John Denver i like now. Just bought a couple of Johnny cash albums on vinyl. Wasn't a fan of Queen but revisited and appreciate and like them. Same for David Bowie. Milkshake ? Link wray, rumble. One of the first songs I learned. Simple but probably profound back in the day an a precursor to punk. Still a top tune.
Great song, probably my my favourite Hazel o Connor song. Love it when the sax comes in....an unusual, and under used instrument for pop songs. The sax made the song Baker Street (Gerry Rafferty), and was a key part of Rat Trap (Boomtown Rats). This is good listen, (and a good watch).
This is notable for being a beautiful fable about love and why you might need a mop to deal with it. Great song if you like this sort of thing.
I've always loved this song but only just come across this performance ... ... great because I've lately become obsessed with Emmylou Harris.
