No mate, it was early last year "Les Miserable". I don't know about the Merch that night but the bars were cash only.
We have to bring in a striker if we are serious about top 6 this season. Im hoping Baz is just guessing and that the club are keeping quiet about any targets. Even if the plan is to have Delap next season, whether its on loan or to buy, we STILL need another out-and-out striker at the club regardless. Sharp wont be here and Connolly is a bit hit and miss with form & injuries. Worst we could do is bring in a young prem striker on loan and assess the situation in the summer when we know what league we're in.
Abel Hernandez ... been here done it at this level, and from what I read earlier is available, he's still only 33 so would be a spring chicken compared to Sharp.
Ipswich are looking at signing that Al Hamadi at Wimbledon. We definitely need another Centre Forward if we are serious about a top 6 finish.
I cannot for a second think we are not in for a striker. Why show the ambition with the Carvalho and Giles signings only to leave us bereft of options up front. If he could be persuaded, I think Josh King would be a great option in the mould of Delap.
There'd be too much expectation that he replicate his previous form with us, when he was 7 years younger.
To have one of the best assists putting in crosses from the left and have no one there to put them in the onion bag seems a bit pointless to me, who will actually get on the end of them, up front we are not soo tall…..
Ah, I missed that one. Their site is a nightmare for reading comments on a phone. Wonder if they've had a positive update on Delap?
Once Philogene is fit and assuming we bring in a winger AND Omur I'm not sure Lokilo gets a game. We'll have Philogene, Carvalho, Tufan, Winger, Omur, Traore all competing for 3 (possibly 4 attacking births including striker) Also likely to have Slater and Doc on the bench with Seri and Morton in the middle. Slater in particular is an asset to club and will likely get a chance alongside Seri/Morton or the front line as he's proved adept at both. With all the flair players, Doc (if he hangs around) with his work rate and his ability to play any of the midfield positions has some real value until the end of the season at least too. Assuming Giles gets over the line, he's an option on the wing too with Jacob, Coyle and possible even Furlong (who's injured so won't be going on loan) behind. Lokilo was a gamble that has kind of just flat lined. He needs games in order to move on, or have a future at City, and I'm not sure (all being well for the rest of the window) he gets it here during the second half of the season.
