to be fair what ever he ment he, doesn't help himself all had to say was we are trying to keep the outside noice out for now, understand the fans frustration, but we are only 3 points off the playoffs and with home game coming up saturday we've got a great opportunity of putting the pressure on the top 6 again
I seen snippets on twitter and the comments on here at work this afternoon and thought I would refrain from commenting until I watched his interview. I’ve already said enough about him and would have loved nothing more than for him to turn it around and prove me wrong. He obviously doesn’t understand the supporters, he obviously doesn’t realise the size of our club and he obviously doesn’t know how to manage the media. Dead man walking for me now. It’s a matter of when not if
Beale could have worded his replies better, I get what he is on about with outside noise and yes that translates to the fans as that is where the majority of noise is coming from. On the flip side, if the bloke has looked at some of the ridiculous social media comments and personal attacks I’m not surprised he isn’t exactly pandering to the fans as a whole. Even if it is a minority making it personal. I still don’t think the bloke will be here for the Plymouth game based on what I have seen on the pitch.
Dear me that press conference is painful viewing - awful signals being sent out - him trying to take Rusyn scoring a goal as being down to his own presence at safc, with a little jibe a Mowbray thrown in. Sarcasm and arrogance talking about supporters anxiety etc. trying to spin the 2 games dodds won as him matching mowbrays last 9 games FFS, embarrassed for him. Low expectations then. 3 times he chucked in the word Listen at the beginning of sentences too which I have a real pet hate for. I'd managed to avoid his interviews up to now and will not watch another one until his hopefully extremely short stay is confirmed. Not a chance on earth the players will be playing for this charlatan, imo.
Suppose the saying 'do your talking on the pitch' is perfect in this situation. He's bit at the crowd reaction and social media posts, only human so can't blame him, but he was an underwhelming appointment on what a lot expected and hasn't set the world alight since he come in so them comments and sarcastic response were never going to go down well. No matter what he does though I don't think he'll ever fully be accepted here and if results don't follow the boos and chants will only get louder. I'll be surprised if he sees the season out.
Absolutely **** all wrong with his press conference. He even says they could do a bit more to get the crowd going.
He is one of those people who most of us working class northerners don’t really take to. He talks management speak and I get enough of that ****e at work to know a lot of it is just trying to sound clever. He hasn’t yet improved the team performances but I don’t see it being a massive difference to what we were getting in the couple of months before he arrived. The fact is though that some people made their mind up before he even walked through the door and are trying their hardest to find things to be outraged about. Do I think he’ll last, no. Do I think he’s been given anything like a fair shot at it by a large number of our fans. Absolutely not. Unless he came in and was winning every game from day one, he was destined to get hounded out.
Some have conveniently forgotten that TM’s football this season didn’t match that of the last one and his last 10 games weren’t promotion form.
Watched it in full and I actually thought he spoke well and wasn't having a dig at.fans or deflecting blame on anyway. I'm not saying that to provoke anyone just genuinely don't take issue with anything he says. Some people just have it in for him it seems..football is an emotional game but folk have lost their minds over beale
I did my best to ignore what Rangers fans said about his playing style and general negativity, that seems to have come back and bit me on the arse. Beale is only part of the problem, but the social media mob have their pitchforks out looking for simple solutions. Sack Beale and Speakman then run KLD out the club, none of which will happen. They are more likely to protect their ‘investment’ in Captain Funsponge and plough forward. The best I can wish for is for KLD to buy a few experienced players to get SAFC through the ****storm and ask Beale to liven up the dour playing style while they’re at it.
