Yeh that's ridiculous. As is the BEALEOUT hashtag people seem to be putting on every tweet to get it trending. Its why I wouldn't mind him saying the below: "I've been really surprised by the fan reaction. I know we haven't got the results we need but we are working hard to turn things around and I really hope they stick with us as their suport is what can help turn the tide". Instead he mocked fans sarcastically and dismissed out of hand the concerns. Which many are valid. The Hitler stuff clearly not.
They might as well sack him now. People have made up their minds. He could sit in silence and people would somehow find a way to take offence at it.
See my post above for what I think he should have done differently. And honestly if you can't see why people would be annoyed at today you're just doing the opposite of what the mental people on twitter who are demanding he leaves are doing.
I can't see myself warming to Beale, it sometimes happens when you just "can't get away" with someone. However, he manages our club and all we the "outsider's ask is he does his best. Everything else is just noise and the buck doesn't just stop with him. Just on managers, and this is quite old hat, but was the reason Keane never got over the line when it looked absolutely nailed on, to the point Ian Wright was pretty much congratulating him on live telly, or can was all pretty much guess?
In that case he actually described our current situation as a crisis as, to quote, he said "Its a real crisis..."
Deserved or not, it's not doing anything to win over the fanbase. And the fact he doesn't want to win over the fanbase just further exacerbates his suggestion that we are an external influence. Some of the treatment of him is ridiculous for sure. But he's not helped himself one bit and I wish he'd taken a different route today. Lets hope we win on Saturday, and importantly with a good performance.
Honestly I'm not. I'm looking at what he says and I totally agree with what he says. The outrage and noise after a narrow defeat has been perplexing and ridiculous. He's got every right to say that. Yes, it's going to upset the snowflakes who are happy to ridicule him and demand he gets sacked but so what. They don't deserve to be treated as real fans. They don't deserve respect such is the awful way they have behaved
It hasn't done anything to win over the fanbase but he is only human. There's probably only so much of this rubbish he can take before he starts to bite back. I think people need to stop being so sensitive and let him get on with his job.
Me too. I quite like him for kicking back tbh. Rather that than some victim. We can’t let the fans decide who does what especially as most are beer swilling know nowts. Is this the transfer thread ? Beale hatred elsewhere
There's an old proverb that goes something like, 'What was the thing that put you off your ex-girlfriend?' 'Everything.' That's what this has become now, usually no way back.
Just read the full transcript. Don't think he's said anything that bad or been disrespectful. I don't get the concerted effort for people to be offended by everything he does or says. If we keep losing fair enough but this is mental currently
I think it might just be because I work in communications and presentation coaching, and so I see him saying things like this, in the way he says it, and just facepalm. And no this isnt about his accent - I'm cockney too!!
