the selling him part is great but atm it’s effecting the team as he’s bang out of form and the team is being changed to get him in regardless of the position. Playing him upfront when we’ve 3/4 strikers on the bench is bad crack imo.
Yeah, everyone knows that mate, we're deliberately signing players we won't lose shedloads of money on ... ... I know it goes against everything we've done for decades but we'll just have to grin and bear it.
If the rumours about Dack being away prove to be true, does that suggest Pritchard will be staying? I cant see us getting rid of both?
If we're selling him anyway, what does it matter to us? If keeping him in the team means we don't go up but can sell him for big money which funds promotion next season, I think that's a great idea. I don't believe that's what's happening but people keep coming up with these negative theories so I'm coming up with my own.
Fair enough mate. I dont for a minute believe we / someone is insisting or thats its written in his contract that he plays every game when he is fit as it would open up all kinds of mess with contracts for the likes of Rigg, Watson etc
Exactly what I reckon we need too but less so at LB as that’s just down to bad luck with injuries which can always happen. It’s wierd because for all I see the same needs, I’m quite relaxed about it and think overall, because we only need a bit of quality an experience in those positions we’re not far off being a quality team. Funny how perceptions of the same thing can be so different.
Bringing in a utility man after getting rid of a utility man in the summer, doesn't make sense to me. However if he signs fair enough. Hopefully he will make an impact.
Do you think being anonymous in games from now til May will increase or decrease his value? Bellingham from August/September - yes please. Bellingham from November onwards - might as well have had me in there. That's before we get to the increased injury risk of flogging him to death. Giving him a couple of weeks off when he's contributing nothing is the smart decision for us and him.
I completely agree with you. But people keep saying he's undroppable because the owner wants to make pots of cash off him. If that's the case, what's wrong with making pots of cash if it funds promotion?
Just need to get this off my chest… Kevin bluddy Philips just shut up and get it on with your job at Hartlepool. Club legend you may be but that’s diminishing every time you open your mouth - you’re no Niall Quinn. And by the way your comment about our recruitment just reminds me about Hanson’s comments on Man U that you don’t win anything with kids. Sometimes there’s another way and we almost got the Prem last year. No-one ca say yet that our approach won’t work. I think the time to write it off is not yet.
Exactly, the extra gain on a sale, through playing him, is the husk off a peanut compared to promotion.
He was only answering a question with his opinion mate. Just because he’s played for us doesn’t mean he has to agree with everything the club does.
To be honest ive read the Barnsley page, and whats been said in this interview echoes nearly exactly the same as dozens of other Barnsley fans think of him, so my enthusiasm towards him has changed alot now
Yeah. Don't think he'll ever make it here, but could be a good L1/L2 player At 24 he just needs to play
