Made harder work than maybe should have. Seemed to think tie was over at 1-0 but semi finals are about getting over the line and we did that. No real threat from them even after the goal. Quansah, absolute no issues not getting another CB in the summer with him in the squad. Kid is good enough to be 3rd 4th choice now. Bradley is encouraging. Still has lots to improve though. Not really super attacking rb getting past a player and delivery needs work, and got proper done for the goal, but as a young kid, more than dependable for a few games.
Clarke looks a confident player. Few stepovers and little tricks in the right areas up top of field out wide. Be interesting where his position is. Wonder if similar to jones plays higher up and as more experienced drops deeper.
Hi As good as the second half against Bournemouth was, this second half was poor. Where do the crisp one touch stuff go? Everyone wanted 2 or 3 more touches than they needed in the final third. Jurgen’s subs gave them the initiative, although I understand that Mac needs to be looked after. I’d have hooked Gravenberch very early in the second half. Elliott is busy but just looks frantic. I doesn’t matter though, another final under Klopp, nobody will remember the flimsy performances if we win it
Nunez and Jones at the end there, **** that. Nunez in at about 3rd if he's taking one as it's either unstoppable or in South Kensington.
he's not that bad at it. I put him 6th or 7th there. Jones is too cocky. szobo 100% trent is a little rocky as well but should be one. macca 100% jota 100% can't be disputed salah would but he won't last 120. robbo is the man to step up.
Salah Szobo Nunez Gakpo Taa VVD And if all else fails, the Greek scouser can be subbed on to score the winner.
Didn’t need to be nervy as there were some great positions to punish and end the tie, but that’s football. We also have to remember that there is a hell of a lot of experience missing atm, and we’re just ploughing on and doing what great teams do. Great to see Macca stepping up, he’s a proper player
STEVE NICOL INSISTS LIVERPOOL 25-YEAR-OLD CAN’T START LEAGUE CUP FINAL AGAINST CHELSEA Steve Nicol insists Liverpool 25-year-old can't start League Cup final against Chelsea (hitc.com)
Impressive few weeks with all our injuries and absentee's - Klopp is managing the squad superbly.. Is there a manager better at doing this? He isn't afraid to rotate, trusts the youth and develops them, brings players in/out at the right times, plays out of form players into good form (and sticks with them during bad form) etc. I think it's hard to argue that he's getting the absolute best out of the squad right now and actually probably playing some of our best football so far this season bar a few iffy spells in games. You do get the feeling the Chelsea/Arsenal games will be pivotal especially when you look at our record vs the traditional top 6 this year.
