Just like Leeds, the Canaries are unbeaten in 2024. They held Southampton to a 1-1 draw on New Years Day, won at Hull, and even more impressively, beat West Brom 2-0 last weekend. Thirteen points may separate the two sides, but both have aspirations of promotion, albeit via different routes. Norwich will be looking to take revenge on Leeds after losing a five goal thriller, after been two-up, back in October! It was a bitter pill for the Canaries to swallow; not only had Leeds come back from a two-nil deficit to win, but Leeds did it at Carrow Road, and with Daniel Farke in their corner. please log in to view this image Leeds will be without the services of Wilfred Gnonto (hip), Pascal Struijk (groin), Karl Darlow (thumb) and Start Dallas (leg). Daniel Farke must decide whether to keep the same side that beat Preston last weekend or recall fit again Liam Cooper. Ethan Ampadu has looked impressive, playing alongside fellow compatriot Joe Rodon in central defence - they have only conceded once in the last three games together. Should Ampadu get the nod, it would allow Gruev more game time in midfield!
Very much hoping for a win tonight as it's fairly vital if we're going to have a chance of automatic promotion. However if it doesn't materialize then let's make sure we don't lose because what I'd really like to see is us go to the end of the season undefeated.
Huge game, we really need to put the pressure on Ipswich and Southampton, Ipswich have a very tricky game away to Preston then home to WBA we have two very winnable games after this match. Southampton's next three games, I can't see them dropping a point. We also have +3 on the goal difference with Southampton, that could be vital on the last day so as Jammy says, we must not lose or it will really start to look like playoffs
Farke probably going to go with the same starting eleven tonight as there’s only really Piroe who’s pushing for a start. Hopefully Gnonto is fit enough for the bench because whatever people think of him since the summer he definitely makes us stronger. Strangely there’s no gut feeling from the Jamster about tonight which means anything can and probably will happen.
Just hope we don't bottle it, which we often do when we have the chance to put some pressure on the teams above.
