So do we stop paying the injured ones? They have to work within a budget. Younger players are cheaper. Injuries really cost you in this environment. We do need a left back but we have 2/3 non fit, we do have a cdm not fit. I’d argue Neil is experienced, Ballard is, Hume has played a season of games in this league, Clarke it’s the second time he’s played in this division. It’s not as bad as you think but we’re missing some quality . I think add Evans Cirkin and Stewart to this side and we’re close to top 4. Stewart hadn’t played this level. Cirkin hadn’t. We need a midfielder, a genuine threat up front a left back / lwb. Good enough. Maradona would have smashed this league aged 17.
We stop signing 3-4 young lads who are competing for the same position and get some experience in there. Or we continue fielding a team of kids and continue dropping points due to naivety and inexperience of managing games
Just been googling that Styles and he's been linked with a fair few clubs for a year or so. Rumours that's its done on a loan with obligation buy, so hopefully announced tomorrow, couple of days training and no reason he can't be in the squad for Saturday. Let's get him in and see what he's all about
What about a 21 year old who’s played for Arsenal and France ? Kid? Is Neil a kid? I don’t want a bunch of grey haired highly payed midfielders. Overall I like this model. I want energetic hungry players better than the lot we’ve got in them key positions that can win games. We need who striker who can play at this level right now of course but that could be a 20 year old from league one who can move and finish better than defenders can defend. It’s become a tired narrative.
Cos I know about 40 or 50 guys in football I've dealt with over the last 30 years mate. In fact probs more than that. But if you don't like my post just stick me on ignore. Are you rubberface from otr by any chance???
