He looks a good player, full of energy and always looking to carry the ball forward and take his man on.
I have a mate who supports Millwall who thinks he’s brilliant. If he signs I don’t think he’s going to revolutionise us by any means. But he’s going to be an improvement on our current backup options
No idea if this bloke lives on fantasy island. https://x.com/wearsidewhisper/status/1749883031798559173?s=61&t=ii57nWIlChD6dfZLhRoSfA
Genuinely no idea mate it’s a strange market but can’t imagine it would take much, probably less than £5m. I think everyone’s hell bent on signing cheap young lads that could turn out to be a gem and make them a tidy profit but the reality for us is that we just can’t fit them all in and we need some older heads in the Xl. One thing that I do know is the likes of your Gyokores, Hamer, Olise, Watkins etc these championship players who’ve gone on to bigger teams for bigger fees they were all part of teams that had experience all over the pitch helping them. You can’t just have a full squad of potential superstars it’s clear it’s not working. A few million quid for a striker that we’ve seen can play at this level is peanuts in my opinion but that’s not an opinion shared with others.
Or he could be said something along the lines of monies are getting used for Wages, running, sustainably aswell as funds for transfers. Rather than "are you accusing me". If he is owed money then fair enough, it was also a fair question.
We do have some experience; Evans injured 09 everyone wants him dropped Dack injured Roberts injured Pritchard post 30 wants a longer contract I think if you add a fit Evans, fit Roberts, I darent say a fit Dack but there is experience. People say some of them are **** too. But we still pay em, good money no doubt. So how many ‘old heads’ do we get. We need - good enough for this league, hungry, stay fit.it’s not about older heads because they too can be ****.
I also have mate who supports them and he said exactly the same. He reckons Millwall had a 2m pound bid turned down for him in the summer
O’nien has most of his experience at a lower level in a different position. Roberts had barely kicked a ball for 4 years before we signed him. Dack is never fit. Evans the only one on that list who’s a real leader and would gives us a lift on the pitch. Getting players in who’ve got a fair bit of experience at this level or higher and can organise the team plus give them a kick up the arse when they need it is vital. Nobody on the pitch right now does that.
