I have suggested him a couple of times. He is perfect for us in my opinion and would transform the options a head coach has to use.
was it Ekwah who at our giddy best last year said 'its just like playing with your mates down the park'?......perfectly summed up the joy and freedom we were playing with What happened to that? because its gone at the minute is it expectation? Last season we road the crest of a wave and it looked like playing with your mates......This year its a KPI and pressure ramps up, people are held to expectations .....not so much room for exuberance imo started before Beale
I am not digging out the data guys. It is a valuable part of understanding what is happening. But it can only ever be one of a number of things to influence a coach and even more so players. Football is not a science. It is at the behest of human behaviours and vagaries. There are so many social and cultural elements data can not penetrate. Football is an art. We need to use data to help us understand, but avoid being slaves to it. My fear, without founding, is we are judging players on data, and not on human elements. We need both. Trust your eyes. Trust your intuition. I do wonder how beale has any eyes or tuition. Hope he does. Football is about moments of individuality as much as it is about patterns of play and formations and tactics. The best coaches the world has ever seen have focussed on individual moments and encouraging the bravery they require, alongside the patterns and tactics. There is an obsession on here re formations and tactics recently. Apparently Mowbray had no plan B ot run out of ideas and Beale is producing football by numbers. In my opinion neither are correct. We have seen a number of fotmations this season, and a variety of tactical refinements. Arguably none have worked at all well. Whether that is because of a coach is open to debate.
Doing the PFSA courses. I can't remember the exact wording, but with reference to data it says something along the lines of data/analytics is important but can never replace traditional scouting.
One of the most random deals ever. Callum Wilson to Athletico Madrid. My word. I'd be all over that if I was him. Bags packed and at the airport if it was me.
He’s a good player who knows where the net is but he misses loads of games through injury and he’s 32 next month. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him leave. Craig Hope also reporting that Trippier wants the Bayern Munich move to happen.
That and Hadji deal gone on infrastructure and decorations. Otherwise known as pocket money for the rich kids, lol
He isnt one of our players, and I wouldnt usually do this, but he is ****, should not even be on the bench
We have a Nixon story to look forward too today, wonder if he’s took the scrap rumours and going to claim patto is away?
Haha **** knows just seen his tweet saying he has stories on ten billion clubs and we’re one of them, I like to start my Sundays off with a Nixon crock of **** rumour, day can only get better than way
