Mention for Coyle works his socks off , just needs to know when to get close and when not to - rushes into positions a lot and gets done , good job he can recover

Coyle - It’s all been said already but what he lacks technically he makes up in sheer grit and determination.
Jacob - Hugely impressed so far. Very calm and assured.
    Greaves - Dependable and solid.

Could have easily picked another three but special mention to Carvalho and Morton for the goal.

Just to mention that Jacob isn't actually 'such a young lad'. He's 22 now, 23 in June! I do agree though, if Furlong is good enough to be a back up, then our LB problem might have solved itself, and maybe money could be better spent elsewhere?

Thought Fabios will to make a tackle and retrieve a ball on the floor was great to see , maybe he’ll take on from the local lads !

    Coyle
    Carvalho
    Jacob - Greaves close behind

Not sure what happened to Alfie, usually so strong, but his passing was dreadful :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Coyle - Captains performance and a true battler.
Jacob - All that time looking for who could play left back and we had one right under our noses Chuffed for the lad.
Carvalho - Touch of class and seems prepared to do his share of work.

    Watched in the sports bar abroad, in a performance like that it was down to the scrappers of the team, so for me ;

    1. Coyle, captain courageous, was outstanding, and for large parts nullified Clarke

    2. Jacob - again had a cracking game for one so young and inexperienced

    3. Doc - he aint fancy, but he grafted, and was able to get his foot in to frustrate, specially playing on the wing, good lad

The whole team put in a shift and even Lokillo was putting in challenges, nice to see us win the ugly way for a change, and not be bullied.

Five points for first choice, three for second, one for third.

    Coyle 212
    Carvalho 82
    Jacob 71
    Greaves 31
    Docherty 3
    Allsop 2

Not bad for a team whose fullbacks are it's weakest links.

Time to have a break, get missing players back, bring in some new ones and then aim for the stars.

    The season starts here.
