Really, do you know what's happened or that nothings happened.
Someone might have got a final written warning, do you want that published?
Or would that get us into more of a mess?
Why do people need to know the far end of a fart. In this case I'd rather let the club get on with it, do what it deems fit and draw a line under it. Theres far more important things to be getting on with.

Anyway, I've fallen into the trap of allowing our friends from the dark side to have another giggle so perhaps it's time that I took my own advice and drew a line under it. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Do we need accountability and do we as fans need to know the outcomes. I for one have almost forgotten about it and put it behind me as we concentrate on moving forward.

Of course I do and I've criticised them over this, I'm not a club stooge.

I could just as easily ask if you think the campaigns to remove KLD, stage protests at the stadium, boycott games, etc, are justified ...

... I think all of that has made us look ridiculous tbh.

I doubt that's actually legally permissable tbh.

Word gets out regardless. As of right now, nobody has been made accountable.

If you forget about it and move forward having not resolved the issue, you're enabling the next time it happens.

The persons responsible for making us look ridiculous was the owner and the people he employed who were involved in the mag debacle.

Even if someone has been made accountable if should be dealt with in house not in public.

To be honest the issue has been raised and as far as I can see was resolved as the offending paraphernalia was removed. It sounds more like you feel the need to know who was to blame but you have already been told by our majority owner that he accepts the blame and is holding himself accountable like all good managers/leaders do. You are looking for a scape goat and as far as I can see the club are choosing to deal with it in house and professionally which in my opinion is the correct way to deal with it. I am sure there have been some very awkward and heated discussions on the subject and that a few people will have learned valuable lessons but we as fans do not need to get the pitch forks out and demand justice just yet.
If I am honest with you there are bigger and better idiots running our country which I think is a lot more worrisome than the odd person getting hauled over the coals for a mistake at a football club.

OK mate, you think the supporters are entirely blameless, I don't.

For example, some people were posting they were furious that BCB staff had been 'banned from wearing Sunderland badges, etc'. You could just as easily say staff weren't being forced to wear Sunderland colours in a Newcastle area.

Depends on how you see things I expect ...

... a public hanging wouldn't appease some people.

We wouldn't be having this conversation if it wasn't for the ineptitude shown by the club in their handling of the mag game.

It's not a conversation, you keep ignoring what I've said, and asked, and just keep posting the same thing. We all know the club is to blame, the owner has said they're to blame, so that's one aspect.

Another aspect, that you're ignoring, is that some supporters totally showed themselves us as a result.

They wouldn't have if the club hadn't done what they did, and to say they have shown themselves up after the negative publicity the owner and the club brought down on top of all the clubs supporters and the club is a very blinkered view. The fans are angry and have every reason to be, a half hearted apology on instagram won't wash with the vast majority of fans.

    OK, thanks.

I don't appreciate anyone calling our owner 'vermin' but we're all different.

    Take it easy.

You're welcome, again you should blame the people responsible not the fans for reacting because they have been treated like mugs.

Agree with you to a point but with it being Newcastle a public execution is normally stoning and beheading!

I generally agree, but we'll find out anyway.

That we haven't heard anything indicates that nobody's been held accountable yet.

I've done some fairly complicated investigations where culpability is hard to judge, but this one feels fairly straightforward.

Good managers and leaders don't put up with that level of incompetence from anyone under them.

    I did.

And I'm blaming some of the fans for their reaction.

    I can multitask ....

Good edit, I don't appreciate that either, but again it wouldn't have happened if the club had acted responsibly towards their own fans and not go cap in hand to them up the road.
