Man City could be in very deep ****. Potential relegation.

Nothing will happen. Although many charges, they all relate to similar things. Too much complicity to undo. The PL won’t be able to prove any of it.

Maybe a handful of things at an absolute push

Apart from that? I can't see much.

Can imagine a 20pt deduction or something like Juventus received if they are found guilty

So one season without a title chance.

    Aka **** all.

Nah, they'll have to go big - the legal challenges particularly from the likes of Everton & Forest would be awful. They will just make a complete example of City, get them relegated then nobody can really say much else as it's the ultimate punishment. So a 100 point deduction or something.

They can’t prove anything. It’s just a waste of time

As somebody said on a podcast, If you have 115 charges your pressing that's 115 chances to make one hit. It would take the Darwin Nunez of lawyers to miss all 115 chances

I saw somewhere that they don’t expect to have a decision on this until the end of 2025.

How they can sort Everton and Nottingham Forest for financial offences that happened in the last year and then take 3years to investigate Man City for things that happened up to 15years ago is beyond me.

Either the evidence is very dubious or they are doing the usual PL tactic of sticking their collective heads in the sand when having to make a decision they don’t like.

Well, Forest and Everton are accused of overspending in correspondence with their income over a 3 year period.

All the PL need to do is review Evertons accounts to discover the truth of it and come to a conclusion

City are not just accused of overspending, but also accused of using dodgy deals and decisions are the top level to artificially increase their income. To enable massive spending.

Its a way more complicated situation.

It doesn't take a genius to realize skint Everton can't afford 200m of spending AND a new stadium

Isn't the stadium part of the infrastructure of the club and not counted against the loss? My understanding is that they have included things as infrastructure and as part of the stadium build which can't can't be to try and minimise the losses. Which is quite frankly just a bit daft as surely this is all auditable, would it not be best to have a constant dialogue with the prem accountancy team to ensure that it's all above board?

Yes. Everton's is really simple, as is Forest who simply messed up by selling Brennan Johnson too late to be accountable in the season before figures. It's a little different to having to try and follow paper trails for made-up companies created by Mansour that were then spending sponsorship money on City. Then you've got all the lies to unpick, against the best lawyers in the world.

The City thing is annoying because everybody including Mansour is well aware they're guilty.

But the PL have already done their investigation surely. They have identified over a hundred instances of rule-breaking so now it just needs a hearing with City presenting their defence. That shouldn't take over 2 years.

Oh, wow - then, yes, if it's all done bar the hearing then it's outrageous that they just get to carry on.

Everton mostly attempted to label a ton of their costs as covid expenses. Their argument being, we planned on selling a player for £20m, but due to Covid, he is now worth £10m, that is a Covid loss and not the fault of Everton football club.

Which, of course, will never ever hold up. Its essentially Everton claiming they misinterpreted a rule and that's not their fault.

I think it's a case of trying to be clever.

Don’t mind City if I’m honest. Knocked the “top 4” off their usual ****. Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea & Arsenal just coasted the top 4 until City came up the ranks. Changed the game in this league at this time which was nothing but predictable.

Shouldn't you therefor not mind chelsea as they did what city did but 10 years earlier?

As did every other club in history that had a period of domination. Your lot were **** all till the 60’s when you got a sugar daddy.

Let’s get facts straight before preaching to the choir
