I'm curious about this. They had almost a decade to defeat Iraq after Iraq started the war and it ended in a stalemate with neither side really achieving their goals. Why does this suggest Iran is more capable than Iraq?

Iraq invaded Iran straight after the revolution. They thought the war would be over quickly. They made quick gains but the moment the Iranians got their **** together the Iraqis **** their pants and fled. Iran were something like 20 miles from taking Basra. Saddam was backed by U.S. and Russian arms and intel and it's why they were able to create the stalemate otherwise they were fcked.

Btw my initial point was that the Iraqi soldiers were pussies. They were. The Iranians weren't.
