Just last night he had several chances and practically passed the ball to the goalkeeper same as another game recently

Weird that we have a player that's scored more than Ipswich & Leeds players..

It's our defense that let us down , but improved since Gunny returned

Salah might be playing for Egypt in the African Cup of Nations when FACup R4 takes place

The initial group phase lasts until the 24th of January and the top 2 teams in each group go through to the Round of 16 from the 27th to 30th of January. Given that Egypt were finalists last time, it would be a shock if they don't reach the Round of 16. Also, given that Salah is 31, it's unlikely he would be included in the FA Cup squad against us anyway. Another bonus is that Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo is also absent for Klopp as he is with Japan for AFC Asian Cup duty and they have already won their first Group stage match and lead their group.

Parma ham's gone mouldy is as expert as you get on the Pink'Un forum, or on here for that matter <whistle> For those who haven't seen it, there is a post by Parma about Idah, and specifically his winning goal against Bristol City, on:
    https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/topic/150296-parma’s-state-of-the-nation/page/39/#comments
Scroll down to posts dated 9th December; Parma's is the second post thus dated.

It’s interesting that he says Pukki couldn’t do it, I would argue it’s exactly what Pukki would do, although his strength was based in a lower sense of gravity.
I agree with the rest and think we have seen a shift in mentality from Idah, as I have commented before. He has previously looked non-plussed but no we see a bit of grit and determination to turn a game and particularly use his pace and power to turn a defender, let’s hope this continues to develop

I agree, Suffolk and the determination was there with his demanding to take the penalty and then smashing it beyond the keeper's reach. Here's Parma's description of Idah's goal against Bristol City:

"He engages mentally. He puts a bit of shoulder into the defender, who senses his pace and power. He distracts him a bit. Another nudge. Disturbed, the defender misjudges the flight and bounce. He uses his strength and gets across him. He runs on a line that blocks the defender. He cuts directly towards goal. He holds him off easily. He gets the ball out of his feet and opens the goal. He opens his body and gets his head up. He side-foot nudges past the onrushing keeper….
    ……that is perfection. Perfection!"

As of now, IMO, Idah is too often not in the right place at the right time; that's where I think the biggest improvement is needed. It clearly isn't instinctive with him. There are too many occasions on which he fails to get to balls that a more switched on player would have anticipated and be on the move towards before delivery. The Bristol Rovers replay highlights start with an example. Idah feeds Onel on the right and moves forward; Onel cuts inside and continues crossfield; the further he goes the more likely he is going to have a pot shot, and given the crowd of players in the centre of the area, and being left footed, it's almost certain he will go for the near post, which he does, It's a weak shot and easily gathered by the keeper. Idah, in the centre, just outside the 6yd area, is close enough that he could have got across and influenced the final outcome had he anticipated the likely course of events and started to move. Instead, he simply stood and watched.
