No, as I said there's been some really pathetic posts on the past couple of pages. The odd post has been deleted already, but I don't really think it's realistic to expect the moderators to start deciding what's funny and what isn't on a joke thread.
I obviously can't tell what has been deleted and certainly wouldn't expect mods to determine 'funny'- I just thought it interesting which you took issue with.
It's far from an exact process. It can't be by the very nature of these things, and we don't read every post, so end up trying to walk the wavy line between what is acceptable to most. The best option would be for people to self moderate with consideration of the nature of the site rather than trying to push the boundaries. There are plenty of other places to be risque even just on this site never mind the www.
Can't disagree with any of that or OLM's reply. I assume I'm not atypical in receiving lots of stuff which I wouldn't post on here but still find amusing. I don't find the Chinese joke funny ( unless I'm missing something) other than that it's a parody of the perceived inability to pronounce the letter 'l' correctly. So I'd call the joke out for being rubbish but not for the 'right on' hivemind response of it being a 'chinky' joke. I don't know, but I don't think many Chinese will be distressed about it. On the other hand, victims of sexual exploitation, which is the subtext, may. As per the rape joke etc. As I wrote, I think it's interesting.

I tend to steer clear myself!! Mine usually gets shipped up from Hereford and has an Apple hint OR comes down from Dufftown having been matured for 15 years using the Solera System... The wife favours tap water piped in from loch Katrine but I've pissed in that a couple of times so I'm not overly fond of it
