Surely you haven't forgotten Cuco Martina already?... But seriously, I can't think of a better RB in my time of supporting Saints, Ivan Golac, Mick Mills, Jason Dodd, Nat Clyne? KWP is better than them all.
I agree, but think it would severely reduce our chances of promotion if he were to go this month. Really hope we can keep hold of him until the summer. How does this man not have a song? We should be singing his name every single game. He is just always so ****ing good. What a player! We've been lucky to have him for so long, no idea why the big clubs have been overlooking him window after window.
He has got a song hasn't he? Rehashed the Bowie song for Redders for him this season. Can definitely see him going if we get a decent offer. He'd be foolish not to and championship clubs aren't really in a position to turn down big money for a player with 18 months left.
If he does have a song, I've never heard it from where I sit! Depends which clubs come in for him to whether he'd be foolish to turn down the move this window or not imo. From the clubs finances POV. We just sold £180m worth of players in the summer. Unless it's a stupidly big offer I think we have to turn it down. Whoever we would replace him with would be a big downgrade and if we want promotion at the first opportunity we have a better chance with KWP in the side. And if we fail, we can still get a decent fee for him in the summer. Not significantly less than during this window anyway.
If I had any influence I would be asking KWP to commit to us for the rest of the season and then if a decent offer came in let him leave, if indeed he wants to go. Get promoted and he might extend his contract. If anything is holding back a team from making a bid it would be his assist record, imo. Best RB in the championship yet just 2 assists I believe. Top teams will expect more from a player with his attacking involvement.
He’s certainly enjoying himself, and has the freedom of the pitch pretty much. I hope he wants to stay and see it through. Here’s hoping anyway.
I believe that people are referring to: There's a Star Man, running down the right His name is Walker-Peters and he's f***ing dynamite I may be mistaken, of course...
Far more chance of game time here. But since Burnley are pathetic, he'll go to literally anyone over us.
It could be like Piroe again. People here seem strangely reluctant to believe that Swansea were never going to accept an identical bid from us as they accepted from Leeds. Especially in the hand wringing that followed him signing for them (and when we had that losing streak). And this is despite the suggestion they wanted 12m for Wood after accepting what is rumoured to be 10m for Piroe. But even if it is as high as the 16m originally suggested - the Wood asking price shows how they were operating when it came to us. Basically adding on the extra compensation they thought they were due onto transfer fees of players
Just remind Burnley who loaned them Tella when they wanted to get out of the C/L. Maybe they ought to keep us "sweet".
Let alone songs, he's surely at the top of a select menu of players who could have cocktails named them... Cuco Martina 2 squeezed blood oranges Blue Curacao Dry Vermouth a slug of Bombay Sapphire gin crushed ice Put the ice and drink ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Notes: Traditionally served with a lit sparkler from distance, from the bar across the room on a bendy pole.
I wouldn't be particularly fussed at losing out to Leeds for Benson (whereas I very would be if we lose out to Boro for Diallo). But if I was in his position, I'd be choosing us over Leeds. Even Gnonto can't get into the Leeds side this season. James and Summerville have both been excellent.
