One of the things I missed when moving here but there is one now just 20 mins away. Haven't been there yet but have tasted their takeaway which was delicious. My wife occasionally makes curries and freezes them for quick meals later. The other things I missed (but got used to it now) are fish and chip shops and country pubs. Where I used to live in UK we were spoilt for choice
If you like fish and chips watch this review Ron. Gary Eats is one of the better restaurant reviewers on YouTube and he clearly enjoys this meal tremendously
Very small ew bet in the 3rd at Chelmsford Hannahs story looks big at 50s and could be the suprise package . If Brown had sent Hannah to Wolverhamton i would say 20s or lower would be on offer .
That's not a fish & chips shop Oddy; that's a posh fish & chips restaurant. I was meaning getting your fish & chips (or battered sausages & chips) over the counter and eating them out of the paper wrapping
66/1 with BV and 25/1 with B365, rest go 50s. All those that have run look very slow, so it wouldn't be a great surprise to see one of the newcomers to take this. It would be handy to know which ones are showing something at home. Purely on pedigree, I would go along with you uncle but, unfortunately, that's a negative the form I'm in
Oooh, sounds good. What would you be leaning for there? Lamb Bhuna or a nice Rogan Josh? Bottle of Red or Pint of cool lager? Hopefully the carrots won't be cut too thickly.
One of my favourite 'Indian' foods is Chicken Patiala, a superb dish from southern India. Haven't had any for years as I never see it in local Indian restaurants down here. Believe it or not, the very first time I tasted Chicken Patiala was in Teheran many years ago, when I was living and working there. There was this superb Indian restauant near to my office, which had a huge 'grill/open oven' (or whatever) right in the centre of the place, where the cook and assistants made the most splendid food. Chicken Patiala was my favourite. In the hope I can get my good lady to have a bash at making some, I will give her this recipé from YouTube! I will have to promise to 'help' and wash the dishes afterwards! (Dishwasher broken-down, and was hardly necessary anyway). A good cold Lager beer is best IMHO with Indian food. Wine (red, white, or rosé) is most definitely a no-no for me with most Asian foods. Better get back to horseracing (if there is any) pronto!)
Well, goodness me, I really do get behind the times. The great Stradivarius is indeed 'normal' and it is good to see he is now at the National Stud and doing his duties as a stallion with 'aplomb'. Covered a lot of mares in 2023 and his first foal has arrived! . Apparently, the filly looks just like her dad! First foal of Stradivarius born at National Stud - and the filly looks like her father! A Plus Tard retired - makes sense. I wish him a long and happy retirement. Great memories of him winning the novice handicap chase at the Cheltenham festival.
Chicken Jhalfrezi (Madras hot), Pilau Rice, Bombay Potato and a Peshwari Naan. Surely the ONLY drink to have with a curry is a very large Cobra!
Got to back DUELY SPICED in that maiden as the conversation has turned to curry preferences. Gay has her horses running well at the moment too.
Not much going-on at all due to the freezing temperatures, but Chelmsford and Southwell do offer some interest? In this respect, one I like in the (16:15) at Chelmsford City, a Class-6 Handicap over 1m2f on the Polytrack surface, is the Stimulation gelding, Curiz, a fair sort of performer who has dropped to a very low mark in the weights. David Probert takes the ride for the Hugh Morrison stable. 11/2 /BetMGM/BetUK) is the best price at time of writing on Oddschecker. E/W is probably the best way to go, especially is there's any drift in the odds.
