Prefer the black and amber shirts with white rather than the amber shorts if the black ones clash, a la Hillsborough 2005. Who am I to question the wisdom of kitman Johnny Eyre though!
Ugh uglier than susan boyle and looked about as gay as gok wan. Each to their own I guess but didn't think it went so well, made our kit look more like that horrible Blackpool tangerine colour to me..
I was actually saying at the game I'd have rather we just wore our away kit than those horrible shorts
Don't like them, they look a bit gay. No way we would have clashed with the Derby Kit with black shorts.
We shoulda played in white shorts. We should always play in white shorts, like this from the 70s... please log in to view this image
White and sky blue (and that one is stronger than ours) doesn't give the best contrast at a distance, like offsides at the opposite side of the pitch. please log in to view this image Rob Styles did think that that was less of an issue than if Villa had worn their claret shirts with West Ham in the blue, but then referees also thought this was a good idea: please log in to view this image We'd both have been in black shorts. That's a clash.
Whoever signed off the kit for 2008/9 needed shooting. How the hell we could have a home shirt that was 50% black, and an away shirt that was 100% charcoal? Especially considering that no kit clashes whatsoever are permitted in the PL - you can't even have socks the same colour. The ideal kit for us should be Amber(striped or plain) - black shorts - amber socks and away blue shirts - white shorts - blue socks for the away kit. There'd be hardly any need for mixing and matching then, but if in an emergency we did need it (mostly because of shorts clashing) we could just swap the shorts - simples.
I think we should have the black and Amber at home to represent the Bengal tiger, and White and grey for the away kit to represent the White tiger. Makes much more sense to me.
Not like the old days when pitches resembled ploughed fields. On wet days everyone finished in the same coloured kit - muddy.
Every team should be forced to have a white kit for either their home or away a la American football and then there would never be an issue.
