You say you dont want to upset the 'club can do no wrong brigade' but all that has happened is a journalist has said that boro are favorites to sign him- nothing has been confirmed in relation to amad. So why would anyone slag the club on something that is currently a rumour

Is he better than Ba, of course he is, but put it this way, if we’ve only got a certain budget and it’s a choice between a proper no9, and amad, who’s been injured all season btw, I’d pick the striker. And of course we don’t know how much we’ve got, only the club know that, and how many loans can we have?

If Amad doesn't come here it might be nothing to do with the club not wanting to spend the money. They might just not be interested in signing him.

 

FWIW I don't for one second believe Amad is desperate to come back here. He'll go where he thinks his game is best suited. If Mowbray was still in charge that may well have been here. He may think playing under Carrick is better for his development than coming here again.

For some reason lots of our fans have almost expected he'd come back here to the point its outrageous he doesn't.
