Losing KLD would be totally demoralising imo.

Take a look at Sheffield United. I’d even say take a look at Newcastle United. Aye they’re in the premier league but I wouldn’t swap us for either. Why would we trade our stable growth for the risk of becoming one of them. Some of our fans are really pissing me off.

Mine neither. Not saying all Middle Easterns are bad but I will not support sports washing.

I wouldn’t be happy but I wouldn’t stop going. But I wouldn’t big the Arabs up like some of the Mags do either.

It's more than likely we'll be seen as a potential purchase from some so called investment fund.

We're a club with good facilities, large fanbase and very few loose ends.

I have to say I'd be disappointed if it happened, it's all so fake compared to what we're trying to do now.

This isn't faux moral high ground, I think our next owner could easily be something we'd have serious qualms over ...

... and 'qualms' is a word I rarely use for obvious reasons <laugh>

In all likelihood if KLD goes we get an American owner with very little grasp of the realities of European sport.

Boehly is terrifying, even Kroenke at Arsenal they were desperate to have rid for a while as he starved the club to get Rams stadium built.

They do not understand how it works over here and if you get a ‘bad’ American owner you’re ****ed.

A ‘good’ American owner means you probably won’t go out of business at best.

We should have got Radcliffe on the cans and make him buy us pissed.

The way I see it, given the world football climate, KLD is about the best owner we could hope for. I think anyone complaining about him needs a reality check. Of course not everything is perfect but the bigger picture looks better than it does for a lot of comparable clubs. He knows football, he's doing it for the football, he's trying not to get us into ridiculous financial situations.

They ain’t rank amateur like some would try and peddle.

Aye, big club for the league that, and a minefield club with the Flemish/French divide

I heard a couple of years ago before KLD came in that ADNOC were looking at us in league 1 but when KLD came in dismissed it until I found out that ADNOC had bought a significant shareholding in the Louis Dreyfus group from KLD's mam Margarita.
maybe there was more to that story back then who knows but I have been told the same thing twice since then and one guy told me that they were preparing a significant sponsorship deal for us as and when we were promoted. Again this was early last season but the guy is generally pretty good with info.

Just what I heard a while ago so please don't shoot the messenger <laugh><laugh>

I remember speaking to a mag colleague when they were going through their takeover saga and saying that if it went through and they became successful on the pitch, I could see some Middle East rival jumping all over the chance to own us as their closest rivals.

Man City were in a poor state when they were bought but that was about showing that they could overtake Man Utd. Similar considerations could come into play where we are concerned.

He required no backroom staff and was less likely to kick up a fuss.
