There will be no Constitution Hill, at Chelteham, on 'Trials Day', people. The 7YO has been ruled out due to an unsatisfactory scope. Forum favourite, Lieutenant Henderson, has though emphasised that the hold-up would not, and I quote, 'affect any future plans and that Constitution Hill remained on course for the Champion Hurdle'. He will go into the fixture though, obviously, without a run since St Stephen's Day. The news has had no effect on the Champion Hurdle market with Constitution Hill remaining a 1/3 for a second Champion Hurdle win.
I’m sure he has and fair play to Henderson for communicating it. I was just commenting on the fact that the market hasn’t reacted. We are still 8 weeks away and horses have dirty scopes all the time. No need to worry about it and anyway he would win even if it were his first run for a year.
I never thought about it like that Our own STH thinks Nico is a poor jockey so obviously they don’t agree
I couldn't have him Oddy, just not up to scratch at that level for me. Young Bowen is better. That said, I think we would likely win on Constitution Hill if we were put up. He's as good a hurdler I've ever seen and rarely needs help at any obstacles and then combined with his cruising speed and acceleration, is devastating.
Zu Run 10/1 interesting runner in the 7pm at New. Only recently changed trainer now in the hands of Adrian Nicholls....travelled strongly in behind after a break over 7f at Kempton before tiring. Reverted to 6f for only the 2nd time since debut in July 22. Mark slips to 80 first time visor.....
