Awful news if true - he's been pivotal to everything good about the team and the dynamic he has with Bruno... you can't buy that.
We need to make signings. CDM is vital. Bruno is one booking away from a ban then we are royally ****ed. **** this season it's been one thing after another. Whoever chucked all of the summer transfer funds on Tonali and Barnes wants sacking.
Do they though? If we had spent the money on more players then perhaps we'd have been spreading it too thin so to speak. Tried to buy a bit of quality in a position we are saying we need strengthening. All ifs and buts but if he hadn't been banned perhaps CM would be looking good even with big Joe out. Barnes again was unfortunate. I'd sooner spend funds on a couple of quality players at a time than spread it out on mediocrity
Agree with this Not sure why the hate on Barnes he's a great player and his stats over the last 3 seasons are decent, 11+ goals in each season.
From what I've seen of him, and taking into account opinions of Leicester supporters, he's not a great player, just decent. Saying that, hopefully Howe will have him looking like a worldie one he has a run of games.
He’s like a worse Rashford. Runs in straight lines, is direct and shoots on sight. Doesn’t inspire but stats are good.
