Lots of loan players have already been recalled this window. Sending players back is completely different to parent clubs recalling them, the former can only be done if the parent club agrees, the latter can be done at any time in the window as long as there's a recall option (which there is in most Premier League loans, other than those where a loan fee was paid).
Twine was getting better and better every game. 100 more games and he would be a great championship player.
I honestly don’t think he’s been bad, 7 goal involvements where he’s been all over the place positionally. I think he’s worth the £2.5 million oh well
Couple of injuries tomorrow and its bare bones time at Sunderland... Not sure that playing Tuesday / Friday is going to do us any favours. Other than the tv money, but we never win on tv...2 more defeats incoming, then a trip to Southampton.....Shiitttt
We won't be going to Southampton next as they are still in the cup. It's been rearranged for 20th Feb which I think will mean 3 away games in a row, but at least we might have some players back by then.
Afternoon guys seems this is a done deal-what is your take on this - please log in to view this image
underwhelming for us, came as a dead ball specialist and was subsequently taken off them. Although I do think he deserves a run in a decent side in his preferred position, he clearly has some talent.
You'll probably get a half and half response on here. Some think he's done OK, others think he's rubbish. Personally I think he's been OK, but I'm not bothered to see him leave as we have better players in his preferred position.
Manage your expectations I would suggest, because he has been relatively underwhelming for us. Came to us on the back of a lot of hype, but has not lived up to it. Nowhere near it to be honest.
If you getting him, now results in us getting Manuel Benson on loan, I think we'll have got the better of the deal. He's not rubbish and has improved the longer he's played, but he's fairly meh. If you've brought him in to be a dead ball specialist, as everyone seems to think is his main strength, you'll be disappointed (he's taken dozens of free kicks for us and scored one).
I don't think the lads crap, but I don't think he's good enough for a top 6 side either. He was plucked out of L1, had a lengthy injury and has not yet made the progress many expected.
In games that we have attacked well as a team he has looked pretty good. He was brought in on the belief he would provide big moments and all too often as an attacking team we rely on those individual pieces of magic and he was suffering a bit from that pressure. Outside of that he is a tidy player, he also presses well and works very hard for the team. His intelligence will allow him to keep improving as a player so I would say that when he is afforded time to play in his preferred position, get to know those around him he will be well worth the speculated fee.
I don’t think he’s actually that good on the ball, he can’t beat a man, can’t seem to turn on the ball and can’t pass the ball more than 10 yards, with someone of his supposed skill set is important. It’s like having Jake Livermore in attacking positions.
Our gaffer Liam Manning had him at MK Dons so knows the player well-seems hot and cold on here regards him. Burnley fans rate him and say they should keep him for next year back in the championship. We took Taylor Gardiner Hickman from WBA on loan with provision to buy -their fans have mixed views- he has been a excellent signing and looks like it will be made permanent by us.
