What exactly defensively are you expecting from Firpo ? Yesterday he tackled or blocked his man as was necessary and regarding getting back he certainly puts more effort into that than say Djed Spence lately. Also the idea is that when your full back bombs forward then one of the 2 holding midfielders provide cover as it's simply not possible to repeatedly cover a 100 yards in 10/11 seconds as you seem to demand Out of all our full backs Firpo is definitely the most frequent in getting forward as well as being the most effective. In fact in the final third his end product is better than all our wingers.
