We can't afford any more injuries Ingram Coyle Smith Macca Jacob Lokilo Slater Doc Vaughan Twine Sellars-Fleming 2-0 to them. Let's have an R&R weekend on the 28th
It'd be nice to win of course, but it's 3 days before a big league game with our opponents having the midweek off, and the next round draw is terrible. If ever there's a game to play a heavily weakened side, it's this one. It'll be interesting to see whether any of the academy players are included. Sellers-Fleming seems a possibility, maybe Covil too if he's fit? Not heard much about him for a while. Olly Green returned from a loan spell recently too I think?
hopefully a city win,a trip to the mkm stadium on Tuesday night for me to watch the academy in the fa youth cup
Not a game to risk players, we are thin enough on the ground without losing any more. I expect a pretty weakened team, if we win great, if not no big worry.
It'll be interesting to see what side Birmingham put out. They made a similar number of changes to us in the first game. New manager needing to make a mark? Concentrate on the league? (They're current form is slightly worse than ours). Thinking that a cup run will boost confidence? Not fussed about the Cup as avoiding relegation is the only priority? It could turn into a meh-fest determined by who cares the least about losing.
Think that will be pretty much be it except I think Allsop will play. Need the extra passer to play the system especially without Seri, Jones, Greaves and Morton in the starting 11.
Looks like Twine is off. Might need to call on Jarvis and Bora Aydinlik. Interestingly Jarvis played CF a fair bit at Shelbourne, but will we play him at the expense of another loan move.
Birmingham will play a League match against Middlesbrough on the 27th if they don't progress in the Cup, not sure whether Mowbray would prefer this or a tonking in the Cup from Leicester's reserves. The former I suspect.
A win would be good but with around 9 players out for various reasons it's not a priority game unlike the big one on Friday. If there is a plan B it's about time we saw some movement. All to play for still but an urgent need for fit signings not discounted has beens.
Particularly with the departure of Twine and Ally, I’m hoping we see Jarvis tonight. He’s 21 now, I can’t see much point in saving him and sending him on a lower league loan at this point when next season he’s probably going to have even less chance to get an opportunity to play. The stars have aligned and a big chance has opened up for him to show what he can do, not just tonight but across the next week or two, I hope he’s given the opportunity.
Personally, I think we’ll lose, although always hope we win. I think for morale & confidence going forward, we should go for the win, but not go OTT with regards to the team we put out & I think Rosie will want the result to try & get that morale boost!
The game being shown internationally at all? Just wondering if I'll be able to hunt a stream down later.
There’s some suggestion there is, but I can’t see any solid evidence of it being broadcast anywhere. Might just be Patty who has access.
