Hull boss Liam Rosenior told BBC Radio Humberside: "The outcome was the same as it has been in a lot of games we've played - dominate, dominate, don't score, one moment [from them], they score. The problem is the opposition allows you to dominate knowing you won't get very far when they defend deep. Every team has this sussed out now and knows a couple of counter attacks will be good enough to beat this team. Pick up another coaching manual for goodness sake.
If true, that's a very damning stat. No wonder the troops are restless. I'd have thought someone so knowledgeable would have changed tactics by now.
I said earlier... sod the FA Cup on Tuesday its just a bit of revenue play the young lads and see who steps up... we dont have a squad to go into that competition... losing is a habit and LR needs something even a 0-0 at Sunderland on Friday...
No he isn't at all, he isn't the reason we conceded 2 goals and he isn't the reason we don't put chance after chance after chance away. The ref was piss poor but the same inabilities we are seeing from us as a team game after game are the reason we didn't win
Right now it’s anyone’s guess where we’ll end up.. Lost 4 out the last 5 but still in the race.. Incoming and Billy Gene back soon.. Hold on tight.. Forza CITY. Allam’s GONE
Yes and no. We clearly need to be better at not conceding first. However, for all this talk on here of 'we need to be more physical and streetwise', no team should be having to deal with the amount of stuff the ref let Norwich get away with last night, it doesn't matter how physical we are or not. Norwich were clearly a bigger side and got away with at LEAST one red card last night. As a team the refs owe us more consistency in picking up things that are harming our game unfairly.
Also, has anyone got a clip of Slater (I think) when he was booked for diving? It was right near me and it looked like he was blocked off by two Norwich players? I'd really like to see it again.
I actually thought that was a harsh decision, I think Slater jumped over their player purely to avoid making a collision, I don’t think it was an intentional dive or that he would have appealed for it. It was just an instinctive thing, get clattered or get out the way.
Yes, that's what I thought it looked like but it happened quite quick so wanted to see it again. Felt a very harsh yellow in real time.
The elbow on Coyle is even more outrageous there. Even more shocking from someone who himself has obviously had a face injury recently. There’s toughening up and a bit of niggling and being able to shake hands afterwards, then there’s outright recklessness. oh and lino was right there but it seems that he wasn’t actually looking in that direction. Saw nothing.
