Big time....
By the time he gets back we'll be midtable also-rans. Which will be disappointing, but will signal that the squad is no where near good enough to sustain a top six finish....ie 24/25 season beckons to have a right go...If the right bodies come into the building..!!!!!!!!!!!?????????
The owners have paid to make a push this season.... will they do it again next season..... coach under pressure...

His substitutions throughout this season have sometimes beggared belief...

The more you see this clip the harder it is to defend Gunn, he knew exactly what he was doing leading with a raised knee. Even in rugby you don’t do that, it’s seen as a cowardly way to defend yourself and hurt the opposition.

The weight difference between the two makes it look worse but there’s no way that’s not a foul against Gunn and at least a yellow card. If any outfield player did that to a goalkeeper there’d be uproar.

Watching that closely; it's a straight red. Gunn doesn't have clear, first contact with the ball and takes Connolly out completely. How can a free kick be awarded against Connolly? It's possibly the poorest decision on a football pitch I've ever seen.

Likewise Coyle. That was a straight red, as well as being a pre-meditated attempt to assault a player knowing full well that he's recently suffered a serious facial injury. The linesman didn't even give a foul and the ref had a clear view of the event.

I don't understand either decision. Utter incompetence by both officials.

I think VAR is ruining football but the current poor state of officiating is determined to play it's part where VAR doesn't reach.

Connollys mistake was attempting to get up... If he'd have laid prone, a different decision would have been made. Like the lad screaming in pain having not been touched at Massive last week.

His failure to protect our players by upholding the law means we were forced to substitute one of our better players early and change our game plan. He’s 100% had a negative impact on our game through his actions.
Absolutely. Not to mention Gunn's heroics for the remainder of the match.
I very much doubt that their player would have swung an elbow at Coyle if they were down to 10 men either.

We’d have loved it if our keeper did it to one of theirs

Ooof.

Leading with elbow and knee. Nasty. There photos I’ve seen of Connolly while he’s getting treatment look like he’s really out of it, and if he was off under the concussion protocol that means he can’t play for a week? So it’s buggered us for more than one match.

Vaughan should have gone out on loan to a League Two side.

I don't see how occasional 5 minute cameos for us, in match chasing situations, is helping his development.

This is not said with the benefit of hindsight, I was saying this at the end of last season after his purple patch when he became the new great white hope.

he’s raw and seemingly very average
To be fair, he’s always going to struggle coming into a game where we’re behind and we’ve switched to a back three to bring him on and then he’s got to chase back to try and stay on the right side of an opposing player who’s trying to get on the end of a cross.
He looked one of our better players in the Cup game.

As the allotted time ran out it’s fantastic to see the defenders not caving into pressure, sticking to the game plan and passing it between themselves. Really good composure on display and a show of great discipline.
I’ve never been so pissed off 94 th minute passing it around at the back . I was screaming at them just to please play it long and hope for a a lucky break of the ball to someone at least then there’s a slim chance of a goal no bloody chance with it on the half way line !
