6 year contract til 2030. Joins Sarr on that length of time. We’re almost reaching Chelsea territory with these lengths, think their max was an 8 year one.
I think we've done more transfers than the rest of the league this January. 4 loans out and 2 transfers, plus a loan and a transfer in. Nobody else appears to have made a senior signing yet. Villa and Brentford signed youth players and Wolves picked up one from non-league. Eastbourne Borough to Molineaux. National League South to the Premier League. English to whatever the **** it is they speak.
His last contract extension was until June of this year, so I've no idea. Might be one of those weird ones like Raya at Brentford. Some sort of theoretical extension to manipulate FFP and the like.
My thoughts exactly. Thoroughly decent and talented lad who always gave 100% regardless. This is not a time to quibble about recent years performances. I will always be fond of him. From the 90th minute of his debut, through the passes that set up great goals for Deli against the Chavs and a place in the CL Final. He also probably did more to delay Delis implosion than anyone else. I wish him all the best for his future!
All the best to Eric Dier, a great servant, 365 appearances, he played numerous positions and always gave it 100%, working for Levy for 9.5 years takes some doing.
The "with an option to make the move permanent" bit doesn't make much sense. Of course he'll have that option as he'll be a free agent! Very peculiar. Maybe it's the club's way of making it sound like we're getting some money for him (which we aren't)?
I'll hold my hands up and say I was too hasty in my criticism of Levy. I panicked when Bayern entered the picture but well done on getting the Dragusin deal across the line and finally showing a good manager some proactive support. @PowerSpurs can you please pass on my sincerest apologies to Daniel when you next see him?
I hope that he will get sufficient amount on the pitch and does enough to earn himself a contract. If not with Bayern, then with another good club. Best wishes Eric .put in a few of those exquisite through balls to Harry to help him to beat Lewandoski’s record and get rhe European golden boot
Ash Phillips to Plymouth for the season. Matthew Craig to Doncaster for the season. Djed Spence to Genoa for the season. Eric Dier to Bayern for the season (but essentially permanent). Timo Werner in from Leipzig for the season (with option). Radu Dragusin in from Genoa for circa €30m.
I think that’s exactly what it is. Saw a tweet earlier from that Plettenberg guy and he said that Bayern will pay for matches and achievements, so I presume he meant per match or after x amount of games and then if Bayern win the league and/ or cup, though with Alonso’s Leverkusen refusing to lose at the moment it’ll be sod’s law for us (and Dier and Kane!) that Bayern don’t pickup their obligatory Bundesliga title this season.
