Phil Brown has joined bottom National League side Kidderminster Harriers until the end of the season. They've won only 4 of 28 league games. He'll be in the stand for the FA Trophy game against Altrincham and will officially take charge against Aldershot on 20th January.
No, but did a very good job at Barrow. Looking at the league table he has his work cut out with Kidderminster. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
The calendar year of 2008 was a crazy voyage for a City fan. He took us to places we'd only dreamt of. Sail again Sloop Phil B - keep the Kiddie up.
So few managers do. Taylor and Bruce likewise. Adkins too, who also did a decent job here. And McCann has tumbled down the leagues since winning League 1 with us. Football just churns through managers and very few actually end up with a 'normal' career path.
No..Did an okay job at PNE, but they were a poor side and he couldn't avoid relegation. From then on he's done nothing stand out. Always recall the Man City incident, then the singing with a smile, but actually they contributed to the beginning of the end at City. Perhaps it would have made good sense to part company with him after the 1st season in the prem, but I suppose he deserved the right to stay on. In hindsight.....
Nah.....Dowie wouldn't have been the 1st choice if Brownie had slung his hook after the Man Utd singalong.
It was a reference to the song title rather than referencing a single memory or collection of memories .
Wish him good luck, but let's not forget when fat Sam got employed our form dipped under him, I wonder how much of an influence he was behind the scenes. He was the first to bring us the promise land so will always have a soft spot for.him, but I do recall him getting g too big for his boots while here, numerous players being out on the naughty step, then the onfield.antics on boxing day where players that had give their all for him up.to that point were treated like naughty school.kids as sone sort of chest beating bravado from him.
