    10 goals min imo.

He's going in with a point to prove or he is not. thats on him.

He's 20 league games there to absolutely own the place. an fa cup replay too.

Hull have liam delap out of city whos probably one slot below palmer in terms of city youth prospect so thats right wing

They have tyler morton at 6

They have connolly who was at brighton up top.

They also play 4231 so will have a 10 slot for him. The problem is they have a big Turkish lad who's scored 7 in 18 games as senior player in that role.

Their left winger has played 16, no goals and no assists so guess where carvalho will play?

Carvalho should be looking to grab a shirt day 1 and never let it go and he should be looking to at least put a massive marker down to get clubs talking.

This is not a bad little outfit to drop into and by the look of morton and delap the manager is more than delighted to exploit the loan system.

I see arsenal are sniffing round onana at everton. Not quite the type of player I'd have thought arteta would want. I can't understand how they think they can afford it either

Again if we look at arsenal's transfers recently

Rice: 100mil - very epxensive but a good improvement on thier team
Havertz 60mil - total waste of space and a massive error
Timber 35mil - very unluckly, not sure he was looking all that so needed time to settle as well
Raya - loan with obligation to buy. raya signed a new deal at brentford to assure a fee gets paid - looks a bit shaky TBh. not performing like he was at brentford.

that 200 odd million was offset by selling balagoun and zhaka and a cuple for for 60 odd.

thats still a big enough outlay if they think they can spend another 60 odd on onana.

their team profile is extremely young.

Raya is an old stager at 28
    Zinchenko is 27
Jesus is only 26. why they want to crucify him at this age i don't know :bandit:

That 11 that they have is they don't collapse under expectation and pressure could and should be together for 5 years.

    Raya
    White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
    Rice Onana (22)
    Saka Odengaard Martinelli
    Jesus

They will win a league imo.

My thing about their fans is they seem to be very impatient and unrealistic even to the level of chelsea fans.

Veiria is still only 23. Smith rowe is only 23 but they get written off by their fans totally. Martinelli is getting pelters. he's only 22.

If they learn as a group and have the hunger then imo they will win things. I'm not sure about arteta's mentality but its only down to being in a league with city and LFC that they've not won.

    I meant Hull.

He's gone from a loan at a CL club to a Championship club. 2 Steps down

Hull City also have their attacking midfielder/ left winger Jaden Philogene injured as well who’s done very well since signing from Aston Villa

meh, if you want to be so rigid about status.

But going if you see Hull and RBL as being on the same level, you know from European football to a 2nd tier league. Hey that's for you to decide.

No matter how you spin it, he's gone from a loan with a top European club to Championship team that is going to be in the play offs at best.

Like I said, he better show what he can do since this loan is a huge step down from RBL. Not sure why we couldn't do better for him? Surely we could have got him a loan to a PL or equivalent league club?

I'm just thinking its a step down, not 2 steps down.

If we sent him to say, i don't know, forest for example is that a step down to you?

    that's just 6 games.

it'd still be premier league which imo is harder in general than the German league.

right now the mid table types like villa and west ham are showing that European football is a mixed bag of levels.

A player at a forest getting games and playing against us or city or whoever would be playing at a higher level but that just my opinion.

Its certainly 1 step down but again this is just shooting the breeze stuff isn't it.

But next year when we're in the CL again and Newcastle aren't... Newcastle will absolutely be a step down. <laugh>

Its not just about who you are playing against, its also about expectations and the pressures of playing for whatever club.

Yes the German league may not offer the same level of opposition, but there are higher demands and expectations at RBL than say Mainz.
The same can be said for us verses a Forest or Palace.

However playing for Forest or Palace would be a step up from Hull, cause as you mention the standard of the league is better.
This is why it would have been better to try and find him a better loan to a PL club or foreign equivalent.

Seems like we just wanted him out on loan, so jumped at the first offer.
But its done now, so he really needs to show what he can do, cause in theory he should be doing better than the Championship.

We’re very happy to have him with us. He’ll probably walk straight into the team on Friday night at home to Norwich. We’re currently without both Delap and Philogene so Fabio’s arrival is a massive boost. Tyler Morton is developing into something special and is a regular MOTM. Thanks again for the 2 lads, it makes up for us giving you Robbo.

A fair few clubs were after him but it appears Klopp likes what we’ve done with Morton and trusts Rosenior to bring him on.

I'm hoping you'll be up there in the play offs at the end as a result. At least 10 goals or he's **** BTW.

if he could get 10 for fulham as a 19 year old in 36 then hopefully he can really do something as a 21 year old.

I know when we got him from Fulham he was seen by many as the bigger catch than Harvey Elliott by those that saw them side by side there Hoping this is the season he steps up to his potential.

Depends on who needs a manager first.

Klopp will be with us until he decides he's done
Ancelotti has just extended with Madrid
Barca are a mess, but have a club legend in charge for now
City, depends when Pep gets bored.

But he doesn't have a connection to City or Barca, so if all 4 jobs came up at once I'd think us and Madrid would be ahead on that front.

Probably not Barca as someone who played for Real for so long.

    Bayern would be another possibility.
