Lots of Twitter talk about a 10 point deduction coming our way for an FFP breach. Seems to have originated on various forums. Might be complete BS but at least we could give up any pretence of surviving relegation.
I think it's a load of rubbish, it's some kind of fantasist spouting nonsense and attention seeking. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
And if it were true the sports media would've picked up on it by now and would be releasing information, but there's nothing from the likes of Talksport or Sky Sports news who are usually straight on to this stuff.
Regarding the record fine we got ages ago , I thought we agreed to pay in installments over a longish time. From what I can recall the amount of the installments was incredibly low and shouldn't be a problem unless we've truly ****ed up our finances again somewhere along the line. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if we have mind you.
You bleeder, was it you who took my pallet of gold, after I’d paid Prince Umfufu his £5,000,000 in exchange for helping him , can’t trust anybody these days
This points deduction stuff is plainly bollocks but it seems equally plain that we are pushing the limits of FFP restrictions again. The bizarre sponsorships of various parts of the stadium and senior staff being let go without being replaced points strongly towards this.
We have not submitted our returns for last year, and won't for at least another 6 weeks, and if there are problems we will submit as late as possible which is March30th. So that part can't be right. The payment of 10 million over 10 years is not involved in the FFP payment...it is separate. As far as I am aware we are up to date with that. We have no loanee players...so we cannot be in trouble with the efl about that. The statement we are being deducted 10 points is so specific...that itself makes it rubbish Now I do think we are in financial trouble Selling the naming rights to everything Shedding 2 large salaries, with no replacement Hoos doing all the jobs, including tea lady. We need just to get through this year...as then the excesses of Warburton attempt at promotion with Austin and Ericsson will roll over, and we get a bit of breathing space
Perhaps Reuben has finally decided that chucking what is it, £2m a month to keep this shower of **** floating is a very poor return on investment and he is preparing to pull the plug. All his mates have pissed off and left him holding the world’s ugliest baby. At the very least he must want to reduce the amount he coughs up every month by cutting out dead wood like Ramsey, maximising our pathetic income by selling naming rights to anything possible (individual turnstiles next!). He must have lost over a hundred million on us so far. His own stupid fault of course, no sympathy. The current rumours may be bullshit, but this house of cards must collapse at some stage.
My understanding of the fine was it was £42m of which £25m was set aside leaving £17m to be paid at£1.7m per year for 10 years,we must be nearing the end of this.
The settlement includes a 17 million pounds fine, paying 3 million pounds of the EFL's legal costs, while the club's shareholders have also been ordered to write off 21.965 million pounds of outstanding loans. The board "wrote off" 22 million pound of outstanding loans, by converting it to essentially worthless shares issue. So the fine was "only" 17 million, over a 10 year period....1.7 mill a year. Funny but I really thought it was a million per year, I am not sure where I got that from
I've reached that age too. No need to say any more. That makes sense and I cant see how we could possibly fail to pay £1.7 million a year. Simplistic I know but what are the gate receipts on one game where we get in 17,000 supporters
I hope we haven't thrown that bucket away. I foresee life in the Conference League with Doo-Doo as manager, but maybe that's just a bad dream
