I don't know how long it would take him - but yeah, there's little chance of him being up to speed from the word go. I like him as a player, but I'd be looking elsewhere. He feels more like a June signing than a January signing.
Yeah I agree. Doesn’t seem like a player who could come in and do the job needed immediately, more like someone you would sign permanently and ease him in. Not sure who fits the bill from the players named, understandably considering it’s Jan but the players available for loan haven’t played much this season (hence being available for loan).
I think people are underestimating how good Brooks is when he's at it (and he has been in patches, certainly for Wales, even since his cancer). He's a £30m plus player we'd be adding to a winning team. He'd compete for a place even when all players are fully fit and can play in a few positions. Those players just aren't readily available.
Same as someone like Danny Ings on loan. Forget his age, the fact he hasn't played. He is a 30m striker and just what we need to get the autos. Someone who only needs one chance to score.
Ings would be stupendously good in this league if fit imo. Not even necessarily the goals but he'd be like the Stu in that he'd bring that touch of class that puts him on a different level to 95% of other players.
I don't expect Clarke to move this month anyway unless someone offers a huge amount. Should we go up I expect we'll up our interest.
It'll depend largely if we move on Sulemana. Doubt we would bring him in if we have Edozie and Sulemana in our ranks.
Yeah, But tbf to him he had literally 3 players around him all the time. Shows that he's good, Literally marking out the main threat from the game.
