How about that Gabon player that is being investigated for being born four years after his mother died.
A competition without the big names is a really good idea ..... just like different leagues divided by how good the teams are. If only somebody could have thought of this before
Started seeing her when he was 29 and she was 16. Wonder what the comments would have been about an English player doing that?
A system is put in place without anyone knowing what it actually entails, which the authorities say will ensure error will not occur. That system questions the decision of the elected official, who is called upon to review his decision, which he does and then feels compelled to overturn his original decision as it is apparent that although he is the nominal authority figure he has less authority than the body which reviewed the decision without him requesting it. Later a shadowy, separate organisation overturn both the system's query and the elected official's decision. If Franz Kafka was born a hundred years later this is what he'd be writing.
The decision was made by the on-field ref watching numerous replays on a pitch-side monitor. I have no idea how they can overturn the red no matter what everyone says about it. It is a soft red but what possible angle has the review panel seen or evidence they've heard that can undermine the ref's decision?
I'm hoping one day that all VAR officials will awake from uneasy dreams and find themselves transformed in their beds into giant insects.
Bollocks VAR itself is what enables, even forces, the ****ers who make decisions to do so. They need it to overrule refs decisions or they do themselves out of work, even if subconsciously. And anyway saying VAR is fine, it’s just the people who use it, is ridiculous. Ditch it entirely and it doesn’t matter how **** the decisions would have been…they won’t exist and fans in the grounds can get back to the emotional rush of enjoying goals when they happen, not 5 minutes later after a committee meeting and PowerPoint presentation. It’s ****…it wants flushing away. FACT.
They didn't overrule the ref's decision though. The ref made the decision with the benefit of more angles than he saw in the moment. Supposedly he still made the wrong decision. It sets a really weird precedent.
Not disagreeing Den... just saying that where it is right now, thats what we're stuck with. And in this instance, it just shows how **** referees are in the Premiership let alone the crap that referee lower down...

But the VAR bods off field told the ref to look at it when he hadn’t even given a foul. Overruled is probably the wrong word, because of course the ref makes the final decision, but if VAR hadn’t existed they’d have simply played on. It’s a nonsense
I hope they get every VAR call wrong for the rest of the season. It highlights it’s a **** system regardless of how good, or otherwise, its operators are. More nails in its coffin the better
