Think the whole thing has been blown out of proportion, especially calling for KLD to sell up but at the same time is so avoidable.
I just don't understand the reason behind covering everything over and staff not wearing Sunderland clothing/pins. The knew whose stadium they were going to why hide it.

A situation that didn't need to happen in my eyes.

I don't see why it matters one way or another.

Perhaps the club thought it wasn't fair to put young people in a room full of Newcastle wearing Sunderland colours.

If one was my daughter I'd be pleased tbh.

I think if they were going to get abuse it wouldn't matter what they were wearing, the mags know they work for us.
Personally I can't say I was bothered either way, I just don't understand the reason behind it and then all the fuss that has come out of it was totally avoidable.

Some idiot is bound to have thought it was funny to break something or have a go at someone if it/they had Sunderland colours/badges/whatever on them. Seems sensible to me take limited precautions to prevent that happening. What happened with the signage is obviously ridiculous which makes me think it can only have been someone external who took the opportunity for a wind up or someone internal and very overeager and probably very junior who wasn't thinking straight.

Not all of our staff are Sunderland supporters tbh, they can't always watch the matches so anyone fanatical wouldn't work there.

    Dear RAWA Member
We will be meeting with the Club again this month (date TBC) in what will be a very overdue Supporter Collective Meeting. Ahead of that meeting we want to hear from you about what you want us to raise and help shape how we approach it. If you would like to attend the online meeting of RAWA members on 11th January 6.30pm please register here. Before the meeting you will be emailed a link.

Of course one of the agenda items in the Club meeting will be the disgraceful way that SAFC handled the Wear Tyne Derby, which included the unthinkable - branding the Black Cats Bar in NUFC colours and imagery. Unfortunately the Club did not engage with any supporter group from the moment the fixture was announced. RAWA reached out to the Club when rumours of the increased allocation emerged. The Club said they would come back to us - they never did, so we took to social media to make all the points and ask questions that supporters were expressing to us directly and on various platforms. You can see some of the questions we asked here and the Clubs' response here.

When the photos were leaked of the preposterous rebranding of the Black Cats Bar RAWA issued the following statement.

"Whoever it is at SAFC that thinks rebrandning the Black Cats Bar fir NUFC fans should hang their heads in shame. How can they be so out of touch with their own supporters? Take them down now! We won't give up trying to engage with SAFC but it's proving harder to stomach with moves like this."

If you have strong thoughts on this or any other matters at SAFC please register for the meeting. As always we will take your issues, ideas and points to the Club.
    Cheers

    RAWA

If you're not already a Trust member of RAWA but would like to be able to vote and/or stand for election now is the time to join and you can do so here. This will take you to our LoveAdmin membership platform. It's only £5 per year to sign up (with an option to pay more if you wish to).

The Russian I worked for had an onion domed Russian Orthodox church dismantled and brought to Antibes for his wedding. He ignored planning permission, rebuilt it in the garden, had it consecrated then demolished again afterwards. He built a road and car park without permission, had a massive firework display against regulations and two nights of music that shook the entire area.

Me and all the staff went along with it because it's virtually impossible to say 'no'.

Maybe it was expected to happen with it being so long since a derby but I just think it didn't need to happen.
Mountain out of a mole hill though as far as I'm concerned

No not supporters but would still be obvious they work for us as they would be in some sort of uniform so if they wanted to grief them it wouldn't matter what tie they were wearing

I like the optimism mate. But for me it was a complete domination and I’m glad it wasn’t more than 3.

You’re correct that they didn’t have heaps of clear cut chances, but we conceded the goals because of the pressure they put on us. They wernt gifts out of nowhere, our players were put into uncomfortable situations they wasn’t good enough to deal with.

Our players are young and they will learn of course. But it’s also clear to see we need some decent investment if we are to make the premier league and compete in it.

Investment doesn’t mean chucking fortunes at big names. But I think using the 10mill Stewart money plus another 5 mill on a striker would be a good start.

Good point that. Us on here have got as much right to start making collective statements and demand that the wider fan base listen to us.
