She was in a little seen but brilliant film called "The Ref" (or "Hostile Hostages" on some releases) as an awful mother / grandmother. Nailed the part. Don't know why it isn't shown much, it's got Kevin Spacey in it, but it wasn't well known even before his "problems". It's a great alternate Christmas film where everyone is horrible to each other, through the medium of robber Dennis Leary holding a family hostage.
Now they get to show it again, though. I think it's harsh, but I can see why they gave it. Straight leg, off the ground, studs up....
R. I. P David Soul I remember having a Corgi version of Starsky & Hutch’s Ford Gran Torino as a small child
Starsky and Hutch was a truly iconic show- I still think the feature length season 1 opener from where most of the opening titles in series I came from was a masterpiece of 70s TV. He was great in Magnum Force too. RIP
I was on the football special from Cologne carrying the German supporters on their way to Wembley for the WC Final in 1966. Every time we ran through a station the Germans were chanting Beckenbauer, Beckanbauer! To which I and my two Dutch friends replied Charlton, Charlton! Both have died within 3 months of each other. Two true giants of football.
Yes, RIP Franz Beckenbauer A footballer ahead of his time. Pele, Charlton & Beckenbauer have all passed in a short space of time
RIP indeed. A true great of the modern game - one who truly was ahead of his time. His reputation as a player and coach was exemplary. The less said of the last 20 years as an administrator the better....
Can't add much to what has already been written, but Beckenbauer was one of THE great players and managers. RIP Der Kaiser
