Looking at his YT above, when he asked how our defence plays and got the answer 'not dissimilar to yours' he said 'ok cool I'll sign'...
It will be long-term, for obvious reasons. As good as Carvalho is, he won’t be signing for us permanently. He’s coming here until June and has the potential to have a huge impact on this season but he’s not our player. Pandur on the other hand will be permanently and the fact he’s fairly young means he’ll have a lot of resale value. Honestly I’m surprised we’re even signing him. Fortuna Sittard could wait until summer and sell him to a lower-half Prem or mid-table Italian/French team for €7-10 million with a big sell-on clause and bonuses.
I am in awe at how cheap the fee is if true. There’s got to be some sort of catch like a 50% sell-on fee for his old business partners at Fortuna Sittard similar to Fenerbahçe getting 50% sell-on for Allahyar. Even then, Allahyar was at least £4 million.
I know nothing about him and he seems to be highly rated, but I'm a little surprised based on the amount of goals he's conceded this season (28 in 16 games).
I get you but the standard of defending in Eredivisie outside the top 3 or 4 teams that compete in Europe is piss poor. Even Ajax have conceded 30 in 16 games this season, though they’re having a mare of a season by their standards.
Baz says Kent isn't happening, but we're still in the race to sign Manuel Benson https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/ryan-kent-hull-city-transfer-9020940
Hull City are not planning on signing winger Ryan Kent from Fenerbahce despite links in the Turkish media suggesting the former Rangers man will complete a move to the MKM Stadium in the coming days. Kent is out of favour with the Istanbul giants and had been on City's watchlist of potential new arrivals this month, but Hull Live understands the 27-year-old is no longer a live target amid reports he could be a target for Besiktas, who look set to be managed by his former Ibrox boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst. City remain keen to land more attacking options before the window closes on February 1 and are firmly in the race to sign Manuel Benson from Burnley, along with his Clarets teammate Anass Zaroury, though if either is likely to materialise at this stage, it would be the former rather than the latter.
The Ivor Pandur vid didn't show him catching any balls or commanding his area. Maybe it's just not a very comprehensive vid, hope so.
