Hull move ahead in race to sign Carvalho Exclusive from Sky Sports' Lyall Thomas: Hull appear to have moved ahead in the race to sign Liverpool’s Fabio Carvalho on loan. Liam Rosenoir’s side are understood to have made a strong move to sign the 21-year-old and give him a regular starting place. Carvalho is understood to be enthusiastic about helping Hull cement a play-off place and push for promotion from the Championship. There is nothing official yet but a move could progress quickly this week in the hope Carvalho is registered in time for Hull's next game against Norwich on Friday, live on Sky Sports.
Carvalho would be coming here to start. A position we already have plenty of options for, you'd think it means one of the current crop are on their way out. Twine? Traore?
He's miles ahead of what we have, if we can sign him and send back twine and or move on someone else then it's worth it
Carvalho can play wide or off the striker, gives us great options. A fully fit forward 4 of Delap, Philogene, Carvalho and possibly Kent would be amazing, especially with the likes of Connolly, Sharp and Tufan to back it up.
Does Traore or Twine move on then? It feel like FC could be the player Rosenior was talking about. Baz certainly alluded to a left back last week and Yilmaz looks close to leaving Rangers so could be him? Maybe just waiting on Vinagre's return to be official. Someone above alluded to 2/3 this week. Carvalho, Kent and Yilmaz?
Heard a rumour we're one of the Championship clubs interested in Lamare Bogarde. Sunderland and Southampton also interested. Been on loan at Bristol Rovers for the first half of the season and was on loan at them last season too. Been impressive in League 1 and could make the step up to the Championship.
Slightly concerning that our business is predominantly loans. It's got a "Promotion or bust" feel about it as we have a massive rebuilding effort in the summer either way... It doesn't exactly feed into the "developing for the long term" mantra.
No they are hoping to turn to turn many of the loans into permanent if we go up summer will not be a very busy window just a few additions to what we already have if they can turn the loans into perm.
