He looks woke as f**k. Suits playing for them right to the ground. Full time, one of their players went up to the wife cheater give him some kind of pep talk. The whole build up was odd. Heard a rumour the tills went off so they were getting from beer at the end of the game aswell. They were given royal treatment from start to finish.

Surprised they aren’t doing an open top tomorrow. Still , I believe that the height of your derby joy is partly aligned to the depth of disappointment and despair of the losing fans- and as we aren’t showing the normal levels, their celebrations are so diluted .

Aye absolutely l Ballard and Ekwah are both that stature but Ekwah was easily brushed aside by Joelinton. Lots to learn still!

They are tyring so hard to try and convince themselves that everything is ok - the scarves, the selfies, the flags - "It's all normal, this is a normal club, please don't look us in the eye and see the truth"

I said a few weeks back a few of our players need to get nasty.

Ekwah wants to look laidback imo, you can do that if you're world class but he's not even top level Championship yet.

I think he can be a very good player but he needs to be frightening players, not being frightened himself.

Definitely. Mowbray kept saying that about him too. Defo needs to be a bit more of a bassa in the middle.

My frustration with ekwah is he doesnt dominate physically, but he should.

Yesterday when Hume and Gordon had a bit of handbags you see Ballard getting right into them. Front foot and he meant it. Wouldnt have minded a bit more of that to be honest. We have some big lads, they need to learn to use that natural asset.

If Newcastle were still owned by Ashley, everything wouldn't be as bad at Sunderland. Every issue or problem is exaggerated 10 fold out of jealousy towards them for how they can now buy success

I think it’s just a mix of both naivety and a young lad still growing and understanding how to use his strength. You rarely see young lads who are built big running around smashing people on the pitch. “Man Strength” is definitely a thing in my opinion! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Clubs hit an absolute goldmine with the Avec retro gear, shows that if the right bits are available club can make good money.

I was staggered how many I seen yesterday considering how hard it was to get hold of mine <laugh>

Staggering how well we’ve all taken it, and how comfortable it’s been to take isn’t it.

Doesn’t feel like a ‘real’ Derby defeat. They are no longer a club they are an ‘entity’

I once went to a Super Cup Final at Monaco, when I lived down there, with Man Utd playing Lazio ...

... it was awful, fake as could be.

The atmosphere was weird, people in brand new scarves and unseen again until Newcastle showed up yesterday.

You're right, it's the day after and I'm already looking forward to Ipswich.
