You're definitely more entitled to have an opinion on yesterday's game than people who left just after half time mind..

That's your interpretation of it mate. You're entitled to interpret things how you like.

The Twitter poll was because I was genuinely interested in people's views on it. But again, you can interpret these things how you like.

I can’t believe they took a picture in front of their fans, who were ****e till the game was safe, proudly letting the world know they’d beaten a team of kids, from a division below, with a penalty and an own goal.

    They are a different breed.

Pritchard is Pl ready. The rest going off yesterday need time and perhaps 1 or 2 older or more experienced players brought in to help us through.
Newcastle dominated from the start and played the high press which I like teams to do, why at our level we tried playing from the back I’ll never understand.

I wasnt born in sunderland or ever lived there def doesnt make me any less of a supporter than folk that do

I havent seen the twitter poll but if thats what it then its pathetic. Thats only designed to divide the fanbase n nothing else.

Its always thw same from the same people when we lose, and nothing from them when we win

There is clearly folk on here with agendas against the club n constant negativity does nothing for me (even if i do agree with aspects of what they say)

The club is going in the right direction on the field since KLD took over - weve gone from a L1 team that missed out on the playoffs, with a boring n old team that had some of its best youngsters sold off for next to nothing, to now being a top 6 championship side in a short space of time. This season was always going to be harder with the standard of the league, yet we have more points than this time last season n are in the playoff hunt again - all this with the youngster team in the league.

Yesterdays match was always going to be a difficult one if Newcastle turned up. Would different tactics of made it better, maybe, but they could have also made it worse.

Time will tell of Beale is the right man or not but hes our manager now so we should be getting behind him and seeing what he can do.

Live on sky again next week so ill be looking forward to seeing how we do then

Where you are from makes no difference whatsoever to the value of your support.

There’s lads in Sunderland who ‘keep an eye’ on results and there’s lads nationwide obsessed with the club.

Its not a barometer at all.

Yeah me too. We will need to step it up against Ipswich. They have hit a bit of a sticky patch as well though.

    Well said.

One thing people need to remember, and I’m sick of typing it, the levels of the clubs is astronomically different. Good players will always look better in better teams. I,e. Clarke &Neil would’ve looked much better footballers yesterday playing for Newcastle, as the players around them are better. They are 23 and 22, and were playing in league 1 two seasons ago.

One thing surprised me was the size of the mag players. All seemed big and powerful.

That’s the Premier League mate. People talk about lower leagues being more physical, it’s bollocks.

You get lumps in them leagues you get big, strong world class athletes in the Premier League.

I personally think the 6,000 fans thing backfired for them more than it did for us. They were absolutely abysmal, they’ll be embarrassed. Whether that was born out of the arrangements (travel, seating, early entrance etc), whether the higher allocation diluted their away fan hardcore or whether that’s just what they are now as a club I don’t know.

They have, dangerous team still but we can def get a result if we are on it. 4 points from next 2 games would be great imo

One of the best supporters I know is Wakey from Wakefield who lives in Hastings.

I travelled, on Frankie Wheatley's buses in the 80's, where he'd be picked up at his M1 exit and me at Mansfield.

He's at Ipswich next week and has booked the Locomotive Social Club again, all welcome ...

... "Loco club booked - Mr Wakefield- opens at 12.
    Remember:
    Cash only
No food available - get some on way in or out
    Cheap as owt"
