Allahyar. Proper shift, always available, constantly looking to go forward and at em. As with everyone else, yes, some quality missing. Jacob. Decent performance capped by the goal. Credit to him for following through to finish after his initial involvement. Vaughan. Similar to Allayhar. Nod to Sharp. Showed real quality. Maybe just maybe he can have a big impact when we get decent service sorted. And to Morton as usual.
Shows it's a game of opinions with others thoughts but yours are so line with mine sometimes I'm not sure! Don't see how some are praising Ally who I thought looked awful while others are criticising Vaughan who I thought looked our best forward outside Connolly. Listening to LR's post match and reading between the lines I think he concurs on Ally.
Jacob - what a debut! It will be good to see him make that step up now. Slater - good game as captain and gives his all. Morton/Connolly - Tyler helped to change the game when he came on. Aaron put in a good shift today. A pity he didn’t score.
Jacob - Solid game. Really pleasing that he got the goal. A great debut! Slater - Drove us forward on so many occasions, and won most of his battles. He was excellent. Connolly - Kept going at it and got his reward with the assist.
Minger of the Match McLoughlin takes any impetus out of any attacking opportunity. Too slow and ponderous. Allahyar runs around like chicken with no head. Lokilo never beat a man all game flatters to deceive. Boring football Liam. Only the subs got us the draw eventually.
Jacob- so pleased for him Morton- as said before his actions with Vaughan was great could be a leader on the pitch in years to come Slater- put in a captains shift
Just seen that Vaughan did another no-look pass! I'm not sure anyone would have been slating him if that pass had created the goal it deserved.
Five points for first choice, three for second, one for third. Jacob 86 Slater 37 Vaughan 26 Connolly 13 Smith 12 Sayyadmanesh 10 Morton 10 Allsop 5 Sharp 4 McLoughlin 3 Docherty 1 If you'd have said on New Year's Eve that before January was a quarter done Matty Jacob would have won a MOTM award and we'd have signed Fabio Carvalho then I don't suppose many people would have believed you. Interesting times.
Dont remember the no look pass, but as I have pointed out before many if not most are first time much like Tufan. First time passing speeds the game up and creates opportunites. No wonder Rosenoir liked Vaughans performance. He was espedally good in the first half.
