Greaves Jones Ingram and before anyone says owt why should I take it seriously if the manager doesn't
Jacob Vaughn Doc Salute to the ref, who let some tasty challenges go and kept the game going. Could have done with him at Sheffield.
1. Connolly, should have had a goal with that lob, surprised he played actually. 2. Allahyar, the only other player who looked capable of anything. 3. Jacob, I was struggling for a third, but I said, whoever scores the equaliser is my 3!
Jacob - got the goal , steady down our left and decent when going forward. Slater- - had to play left back and move into the middle, some nice pass and play . Decent Captains performance. Vaughan- worked hard , nice movement on and off the ball . Shame his shooting was off target . Only picked from those who played all the game . Well done boys . Come on City
Im surprised at the amount of people saying he had a good game. Looked busy but had a poor impact. Slater Jacob Allsopp
Jacob Slater Smith I thought Jacob was clear MOTM by miles. Looked every bit a senior player, made some strong tackles and broke forward well, including creating and finishing the goal. Struggled for two others after him to be honest. I couldn't vote for any of the attacking players who started because they achieved nothing.
Jacob - with or without the goal - probably starts at LB against Norwich Smith - Won his fair share of duels and never bulied Vaughan - always available to receive the ball and looking to make things happen Lokilo, Allahyar and McCloughlin had poor games for me
1. Matty Jacob, tremendous home debut and the look on his face when he netted the equaliser was worth the ticket price alone. His late grandad, Geoff Barker, would have been a very proud man tonight. 2. Harry Vaughan, busy, industrious, and talented. Felt sorry for him when he ballooned that shot over the bar in the second half but loved Morton's responce in immediately running up to him and consoling him. 3. Arron Connelly. On another day he could have bagged a hat trick. He looked well up for it for the first 20 minutes, then went missing, until appearing again just before half time and for most of the second half. Difficult player to get to like and I bet he's an odd ball in training. He has the talent if not the statue to be a real handful up front but to me, he doesn't appear to be a team player. Should have buried that one on one from Allsops long kick in the second half. ... I thought all the young lads played well. Showed a bit of inexperience which led to Brums goal and the other chance just after it but overall a very impressive performance from this makeshift City team. Disappointed with Allayhar, Dipped out of a challenge in the first minute and every other 50/50 after that. Couple of nice skips past his defender to race down the line but his shooting and choice of pass is poor. Don't think he'll be here much longer. Also thought Docherty was unlucky to be subbed. so, fair result and we are in the hat for Rd 4 with a replay to come, which we are more than capable of winning. ...
Jacob. Very good full debut & will be proud of scoring. Looks like he could have played there earlier in season. Took his chance Slater. Really led by example as the captain, Allahyar Another good positive effort again, constantly prepared to take the full back on & created good chances A few of the payers missed out in showing they deserve to be in the first eleven. Cant fault the spirit and effort again, but quality not what we need to get top 6 for some.
Jacob Morton Sharp (I couldn’t really think of a third, so just went for Sharp on the basis that I now think signing him was a very good idea). Surprised at Smith getting votes, doesn’t look ready for first team football to me.
