Let me try and remember... Cubs you're in a "six", with a "sixer" (the one with two stripes) and a "seconder" (one stripe) in charge of it. Then your pack is made up of however many sixes you need to make (depends on how many cubs you've got in your pack) with obviously the leaders in charge, and Akela being the main one in charge of everything. In scouts you're in a patrol, with a patrol leader (2 stripes) and an assistant patrol leader (one stripe) in charge of it. Where you've got more than one patrol you also tend to find a senior patrol leader (one of the patrol leaders has an extra pinstripe between the two normal stripes) and then leaders the same as in cubs but without any formal names (least we never used them). Not sure what the equivalent term to pack is, we never used that but I imagine it would be some more military sounding thing since they have patrols. If you were any good at that I could have done with you around to give me some advice when "I was never in beavers". I've just realised as well, cubs are really cub scouts, are beavers really beaver scouts?
