What did we learn from Luton? Iirc we had no defenders and got beat by their sheer physicality. Look, we are short in many areas of pitch,.most notably in attack and midfield but I'm not going to harp on about our transfer policy every time we lose a ****ing game. The owners are investing in young players and looking at long term rather than short term fixes. Yes it's very frustrating and we all want instant success but would I rather we were Luton? No thanks. Unless we get new owners who are prepared to spend millions then we are where we are. Maybe the football bubble will burst in a year or two and we'll be perfectly placed to take advantage. We are sixth in table and let's be honest we can't compete with Leicester, Leeds and soton who are in a financial league of their own. So third or fourth compared to those at our level who dont have prem money to help. Our wage bill is one of lowest in league so I'd say the recruitment is great tbh..whether the strategy is the.right one for a club the size of ours is.a different argument but I'm.prepared to see where it takes us. We sign Amad and a striker, midfielder and we will improve again

We could have brought on Aouchiche, even Rigg.

More than that we could have changed shape and at the very least stop playing out from the back and getting hemmed in.

To say we couldn’t have changed it is trash, and to change nothing at all until 82 mins is ****ing mind blowing.

I’m continuing to reserve judgement on the gaffer but he is yet to make a single impactful or positive change on or off the park.

They were definitely better than us, but we gave them all three goals.
We never heard anything from the Skunks until the 28th minute when we heard a murmur, then we only heard them when they scored. That's embarrassing away support.

Not most importantly, but it's nice to know that we're, apparently, still 9 games unbeaten against them in the league :emoticon-0148-yes:

realisticly "light years away from the top half of the prem." maybe, but close enough to t get there this year through the play-offs imo.

I can't disagree with much of what Beale said there. Let's be realistic.
The rest of the season is the important thing.

Well. The game panned out as expected. We just weren't good enough as much as it pains me to say it.
Couldn't believe how quiet the Saudi fans were

We were saying the same, but realistically who could have come off the bench and made a difference?

Piss off and go into politics. we were playing slow from the back, they pressed high and you couldnt cope, but changed **** all. Didnt help we didnt have a target man on the bench

I think we've been like that all season. Everything seems to be a lot slower now and more on a player carrying the ball forward himself as opposed to quick one touch passing with intent and urgency to get up the field.

I'd agree that he hasn't made a massive difference, yet.
We now have some time for his coaching to come to the fore, so let's see what happens when he gets the players on the training pitch

Has any other club done/do this - especially at an away ground? Do they really need such a memento that they expectedly beat “ the little club from a lower division “
