Ballard, even with OG and pen (he had to make the challenge) was quality, as was Pritch.

    Rest were woeful.

We see it how it was instead of polishing it up? I told my mag mate yesterday if I was a Newcastle fan I’d be putting my house on then to win. I expected the loss. But I didn’t expect us to just stroll around and not lay a glove on them. Make all the excuses you want about the goals they absolutely battered us. It was a training game for them.

Or was it a sign of not being able to compete with pace? Hopefully not as I like the lad and he has already made a huge step up considering where we got him from!

Setting up like that today was lazy. Pure lazy. No changes at half time and one sub.

A one legged bloke out the crowd would have moved quicker failing that I’d have given Rigg a go or anouchie

09 decent, not capable of much better than he did today so can't ask for more. Stopped a likey goal as well.

Disappointed we didn't give them any trouble really. Surprised we didn't go back 3, leaving as is was asking for trouble. But they have better players all over park.

Today was a learning curve, I think it's hard to take because it was the mags, would we be feeling as bad if it had been man city.
They're aren't just a premier league team, as hard as it is to admit it they are a top premier league team, we cannot compete on the pitch with them.
Had they been playing Preston they would have made about 8 changes and probably still won but it just shows the importance of not losing this game for them, a lot was said that it was a free hit for us yet I think it would always benefit them. If Howe fields his strongest team they would always win and because it was against us they feel like they've already won the cup and it gets them off his back.
I personally think Beale got the tactics wrong, I think trying to have us play our normal game we were always going to be over ran, I think he's used today maybes show the players the gulf between the leagues and work on how to improve.
Personally I would have rather parked the bus and tried to hit them on the break just to reduce the risk of losing to the scum.
I was never confident of getting anything from the game, I think it was more hope .
However all the goals they scored were unavoidable, even though we were outplayed and outclassed

You do realise that your owners family is part of a cartel responsible for food poverty and people starving to death all over the planet, dont you!
You Houthi loving apologists and your football club have blood on your hands as much as any other club does

To be fair to Jobe he should not have been in that starting eleven

But he was coming in off right and doing damage centrally. We had no wingers available other than Ba who everyone has spent the last month caning. We were well beaten by a far superior teams who have spend millions on ready-made players. We could have tweaked team slightly but not sure it would have mattered a ****

Well he's not the fastest but if he stays on his feet and runs with them he'd have been more effective. Claire Balding is a dangerous player to be fair.

Lack of subs comes across as Beale and the coaching team being resigned to a loss well before today and not thinking it was worth trying something different.

There were several players out there who weren't at it and should have been took off, Ba come on and ran at them more in 10 minutes than 90% of them did in 90. And that is a lad who has got pelters recently and is low in confidence!

I doubt anything would of made much of a difference today against a side with more experience and quality .
Other than parking the bus and lumping it.
Subs was a strange one mind.

    Financial doping won

Their team had £350m spent on it the last two seasons, ours cost £9m in total

A pity we didn’t try to boot them all over but reality hit hard today

Men against boys, we have what is possibly the youngest team in the entire football league

Aye went to ground several time when the player was already away and it is nothing but a token effort. Staying on his feet running after rhe attacker at least makes them think about you!

Never expected to win but we were very poor today. Passing and playing out from the back was shocking and holdingon to the ball far too long, too much standing off, clarks worst game all season and Gordon had Hume all day, was expecting pembele on at half time for some pace.
Rusyn should've been put against burn, his pace would've tortured him.
They took the foot off the gas at 2-0 we should've made changes then to try and get back in the game but nothing changed.
