There’s no doubt they are better than us, it’s to be expected, they’ve spent 100s of millions of good players.

But this accommodating of Bellingham through the middle at the expense of Pritchard needs to stop. It cost us in the 1st half and let them establish complete dominance.

Beale sent them out weak and scared and we got what we deserved.

Im not taking anything away from our players, they are young and inexperienced. And we’re sent out like lambs to the slaughter.

A different manager and a different set up and it might have been better. But we got everything wrong in this derby, the away allocation, the black cats bar, the timing of Beale and the team selection.

    Let’s move on, unlucky boys.

    Positives
    • pritchard great
    • No injuries
    • Players don’t look ready for prem moves and we now have evidence they should stay this window

Have to say their pressing and speed of play was a level above. That’s what Boris Johnson helped them to buy in return for arms to kill Yemeni’s.

Yes we were outplayed today, but as they said on the commentary, it's £8M vs > £400M. They won it from an own goal, a mistake, and a clumsy naive penalty. There's no reason to panic.

    cheers again RTB...

much as expected, we have not been at our best for a while, clarke doing what he usually does (except scoring) and walking around the pitch with no urgency at all, along with a couple of others...only real drive came from pritchard in attack and onien in defence (the experience).

ballard unlucky for the goal but giving that penalty away was bad.

'richest clurb in the worrrld' needed to be given a big helping hand from our players (own goal, handed to them, penalty) despite having most of the play and patto not really making a 'real save'.

back to the league lads and going to give onien my MotM simply for getting his head to that block.

I did say they stifled and dominated the game. Just depends on whether you give them credit for it or decide it's all our fault.

No surprise to see how you and Worky see it. We could have been better but we lost because they've spent half a billion in the last few years.

It’s been own goal after own goal since the draw was made. Decision to give them 6k, decision to give them the lower the bowl, the black cats bar fiasco. Then the game itself Ballard own goal, Ekwah unforced error, Ballard seemingly purposefully giving away a pen.

we were outclassed, that’s understandable, but **** me we made it as easy on the pitch for them as the club did off it. Doesn’t hurt like other derbys for obvious reasons but didn’t think we give a true account of ourselves which is disappointing. Dust our selves down and get back to the promotion chase but shows the work we have to put in to reach competitive premier league standards

Best team won. We didn't play anywhere close to what we're capable of which is a shame, though they planned for us well. Tactics were really poor, we created our own problems largely. Probably a bit of a reality check about some of our players too.

Take it on the chin and move on. Use it as a lesson to learn from. I'll not lose sleep over it.

One sub when we were getting whooped ?

Honestly, the coach needs to have a look today. Low block, low pressure, low press, subs poor.

0-3 defeat. A really poor showing.

We lost...it was to be expected.
I'm over it, I was more gutted not beating Rotherham tbh.
    Looking forward to Ipswich now.
