One of the saddest things over recent years to me is that a complete hero of mine has turned out to be an idiot in real life. I have met him on a few occasions and he has always been so normal and nice, though not for a few years. He was the only person I have ever met that I was totally 'starstruck ' the first time (lol aged about 25) and couldn't even speak for the first 20-30 mins and I was sitting on a dinner table next to him!
I am actually with you on this. I think it is Sue Smith that I don't like listening to her commentary, not because she is a woman, but because she isn't very good IMO. I prefer having a woman main lead on a program (Kelly Cates, Gaby Logan).
Definitely went down hill when she left, the new format was crap hence it was the start of the end for it.
Really looking forward to this game. Newcastle coming into it on a poor run just adds to the occasion.
Yep they've struggled away from home all season too and throw in Howe's dreadful FA Cup record and it's all set up for a cracker.
When he first broke into the first team, he was a neighbour, 3 doors away. Came to our house for a birthday party. Seemed very normal then & yes, I agree with you, very, very strange now.
When my wife was a manager for Clinton Cards, MLT would sometimes go in for cards. She recognised him but couldn’t remember from where so even though she would occasionally chat with him she presumed that he had previously been a till worker at Hedge End Sainsbury’s, at the time when she was part of the front end management team. She only found out who he really was when a staff member told her.
I've been noticing various positives reviews about Hume recently (including the laughable suggestion that he's the best RB in the Championship). He's had a horrid first half here.
Yeah they've clearly targeted him. Think their CB Ballard has been excellent though despite the own goal which was a bit unfortunate.
