I can remember the days when drawn against Spurs in the cup used to give clubs the shakes. Now,they rub their hands in glee. What happened?
Yes. I remember Cecil Poynton well with his bucket of water & sponge. Thats the way people were back then, stiff upper lip, never show any weakness if you can help it! A squeeze of cold water was yesterdays miracle cure, a lot cheaper than todays stuff
1. No, they shouldn't. It wasn't a national tragedy, it was one decision. The Scouse-filled media acted like nobody's ever got a bad VAR result before. It's the end of the world! The Sky is falling in! 2. Newcastle in your last game, FFS! It's also non-VAR decisions, like the ludicrous Palace red card. Officials don't want to be slaughtered publicly for going against you.
I'm going to watch the Sunderland v Newcastle game , could be fun , Mum was from the NE and went to Roker Park a few times back in the day and love the NE coast line
Inter scored a 93rd minute winner against Verona today. This happened in the buildup and wasn't deemed a foul by VAR: There's no way that these officials aren't doing this **** deliberately.
Bournemouth had fantastic form prior to their loss to us. They've made a number of changes today and are 2-0 down to QPR at half-time. The players they've brought in are all experienced Premier League players, too. Edit: It's now 2-2! Sorry, QPR fans.
My gripe with the coverage is that it simply ain't consistent. Here's a few examples: 1.The VAR fiasco that benefited Liverpool against Wolves in the FA Cup did not lead to outrage. Klopp wasn't campaigning then (don't blame him personally) so the "everyone should get behind klopp" argument is weak IMHO. 3. VAR wasn't working in the first 5 minutes of the Spurs Villa match v villa. A defender elbowed Gil in the head. A clear red and penalty. But as VAR wasn't working nothing happened. Apparently VAR couldn't get in touch with the ref. No fuss was made about it in the media even though it was a game changing incident. No questions were asked about why the game was started without VAR working when it was known before kick off. No one outside of spurs fans know about this cos no fuss has been made in the media. The Liverpool mistake was farcical and unacceptable but there is a massive discrepancy in how much media coverage is given. Rafa Benitez said similar about united in his infamous fact rant. The truth is VAR ****ed up ... genuinely don't understand what more needs to be explained tbh...the puppet in the VAR office thought that the on field decision was given as a goal and said go with on field decision instead of "not offside give a goal to Liverpool " no chance of any **** up with that.
