I think Cresswell needs game time. We don't have many options at full back with Byram, Ayling, Dallas injured and Gray needing a rest. We sent Spence back and Firpo is **** and injury prone. I think we'd have to go Gray and Firpo at full back. No Struijk and Cooper has a niggle so Cresswell and Rodon should play. It wouldn't suprise me to see Ampadu at the back though.
However, Ampadu needs a rest so midfield has to be Gruev who is growing in to the role. Kamara will have to play as we have nobody else as Shack is injured.
I'd like to see Piroe as a 9 but I think Joseph will get minutes up top with Piroe behind. Gnonto and Anthony wide.
I'd like to see McGurk get an appearance at some point. He had a fantastic start to his season in the 21s and it should be rewarded here.

Think Paddy will start, he needs minutes. Gnonto and Cresswell may only get minutes if they’re not being shipped out. Piroe may play in the 10 role or Poveda. Otherwise have no idea what Farke will do. He can’t give everyone a rest, and we’re short due to injuries.

Yep, need to get that all important away win, losing to a club a division lower will not help confidence for further away games.
Ok, us to scrape through in normal time then. Just hope it’s a performance and result to provide necessary momentum.Penalties are only if there is still a stalemate after a replay
We rarely have great festive results, as Aski (I think) posted elsewhere, so it wasn’t a great surprise(though upsetting) this time around, but we need to get on it over the next couple of months to set us up for the run in.
Ruined the year Scum wwre allowed to go off and play in a world club game and by the F A for devaluing the magic of a Wembley final appearance, by playing semi finals there.
Thought Firpo wants out in Jan window too, hence the really good game he had against brum
If big Charlie doesn't feature today then he's on his horse and heading out, I still like the cup but we've little real chance of seeing Wembley in reality so I'd put in at least seven fringe players.
