Watford, after the festive season games, will look to win this without too much more energy loss, but it is never that easy. People always enjoy seeing the underdog succeed, unless you support the team that is in the higher reaches of the pyramid compared to their opponents. Chesterfield will be making the trip to Vicarage Road for the first time since 1997, when they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat in the old Division 2. Watford are playing their first game in this year's FA Cup, but Chesterfield have already come through three ties to book their place in the last 64. Scoring five goals in a rout against Kettering Town was notable in itself, yet it was not in comparison to 1-0 successes over each of Portsmouth and Leyton Orient in rounds one and two respectively. Paul Cook's side have won 21 of their last 24 games, which is why they sit at the top of the National League table. At this stage of the FA Cup last season Chesterfield took Championship side WBA to a replay before bowing out. Just how far VI is prepared to go and give some players who inhabit the bench most weeks a chance to show what they can do remains to be seen. Since reaching the final in 2019, Watford have been knocked out in the third round for the last four seasons, and I think he will want to be in the hat for the next round. please log in to view this image Gavin Ward has been appointed to take charge of this game. Lee Venamore and Adam Crysell are due to the assistant referees, with James Bell the fourth official.
I was very surprised by VI's decision to play a full-strength side in the League Cup match (with the only change being swapping goalkeepers). My suspicion is that was to continue building a cohesive team, and he will want to rotate much more this time. Would be good to see Healey start for example. However, I could be totally wrong and it will be our first choice Championship team, but with Bachmann getting another chance in goal, especially as Chesterfield are a tough side and we need to get back to winning games.
Probably be the subs on Monday for example getting a game but we must not be complacent. They are a team in form snd with big support . Will we see another Young Colombian making his debut ?
I'll reserve judgement - watched a couple of the Colombia U20 world cup games in which he featured - he was nowhere near as impressive as Asprilla was in them.
Yes - don't think he is the next Pedro just yet but sure fans will make quick judgments straight away either way!

Should have - and Hoedt should have had a penalty from that corner a couple of minutes beforehand. Am not sure when being hauled over backwards by the neck became a legal tackle...
